It has been a long week now and my mom hasn't shown any signs of waking up. I felt like there was nothing left to do, that it was pointless to keep praying because she isn't showing any signs.
I rested my head close to her as I tried to stay calm and forget about my worries. I promised to make Kate pay for what she did. I couldn't believe she could have such an innocent face while being a beast at the same time.
I closed my eyes, trying to forget all the regret I had inside me and just prayed that my mom wouldn't die.
The hospital door opened, and that's when I saw grandma, grandpa, and Aunt Alex walking towards me.
"Grandma, grandpa," I said as I stood up and pulled them into a hug. I knew it must be hard for them to see their daughter this way, but I decided not to tell them about Kate as it would only hurt them more.
