Chapter 6 - Chapter six

"Get away from her immediately," I hear Chetan yell as I enter the cave.

"There are too many wolves to fight!" I see vampires start backing away.

Damn, these are vampires. Fuck. I know they are bad news. I slide Kiara behind my back. I will kill anyone of these motherfuckers if they try to harm her.

What the bloody hell is wrong with that wolf?'' The vampire points to Riya.

"She is part zombie," Zare replies.

"Oh, Satan, how I hate those brain-eaters," exclaims the vampire.

"So if I just bite our little friend here, can we make a new creation?" asks another vampire.

With no other warning, I see a vampire bite Zare in the neck. I see Zare panicking, she starts screaming in severe agonizing torture. Feeling a pressure on my arm, I noticed Kiara was holding it tightly. She was so scared. I hated seeing her like this. Soon I see my sister's twin lying unconscious on the ground.

My eyes see a vampire rub his hand gently on Zare's face. I see Chetan launch forward, I grab him by the arm forcefully pulling him back.

"Chill." I hiss.

"Let's make a deal, AB, Ace and Ash," I hear Ajay say.

"Well, I am not exactly the devil, I don't make deals," AB laughs with a horrible crackling hiss.

"How about I just rip every one of your throats out, or better yet, I can chew you to bits, ripping you apart limb by limb," I hear Chetan yell.

I grab one of his arms and motioned for Smoke to grab the other one. I don't think I ever had trouble controlling a man like this before. I definitely cannot hold down Chetan myself. While this all was going down, I had to keep an eye on Kiara. Plus, make sure Smoke doesn't relapse from the vampire trauma he's has.

"See, I need Zare back, because that's her mate over there, and you don't want me to let him loose," Ajay says with a smirk.

"It's cute, you think a dog scares us?" AB says while the others laugh.

"Look, I know there's something you must want. Being one type of the many creatures that live in this forest, I'm sure there's something you need from the wolves, Protection? Food?"

I feel uneasy hearing Ajay say those words. He's really willing to give the vampires anything they want just to get Zare back.

"Freedom," the vampire says, his fangs showing.

"Freedom," Ajay repeats.

"Freedom to hunt and drink any creature."

I hear Ajay grunt in frustration. He crosses his arms. "With the exception of my pack, and humans outside the forest, and limit control on creatures. You cannot wipe out a population."

"We will not harm any member of your pack, and humans." The vampire takes a bow.

"And the total wipeout of creatures?"

"We will try our best."

"The girl." Ajay's eyes motion towards Zare.

"You can collect your little naughty pup, I want the best for my vampire anyway."

I couldn't help but laugh at his wording in my head, even though this was a serious situation. My eyes watch as Ajay collects Zare in his arms.

Soon we find ourselves walking in the woods on our way back, but only after listening to a story the vampires told us about all the creatures unseen in the forest. I'm not necessarily sure if I believe it, why are we listening to them? On the other hand, what reason do they have to lie?
