–Night–
With her foot, She kicked open the front door. As she is carrying an unconscious Jessica, Julie turns herself and walks sideways letting Jessica's head go first and continue going through the doorway, till Jessica's foot had passed into the house. Taking stairs up to the second floor, Julie is introducing to a hallway of gore. The bodies of the dead laid within their puddles on blood throughout the whole entire hallway, Julie, continue to carry Jessica and slowly want your stepped as she stepped over these bodies. And she made it to Jessica's room, Julie lowered her to her bed and let her slay down on her bed. And she was laying on the bed Jessica just seems to be sleeping not to be knocked unconscious. Hopefully she'll wake up. What Julie thought.
Julie left her bedroom and closed her door. And now before anything else, Julie looked at the mess within the hallway and she has dedicated to trying to clean up the hallway, because she ain't going to let no horrific gore mess ruin her house that she and Manual have been paying off for the last 10 years.
And so within an hour Julie was able to carry every single corpse out and down the stairs and outside the driveway into the street, slowly but progressively she took body after body and piled it all in one outside on the street.
I thought she was done doing that. She went up tour room and to say that the room was a little different as there was sheets hanging out of the window? Curiously, she pulled him back in and realized it was a long stream of tied up sheets That turned into a rope. Untying the rope of sheets, She takes one of the sheets and begins to fix up the bed.
Julie was done and she looked around her room seeing everything. There's a lot of space on the wall except for a few family portraits, as all them had to do with their family together either from a different branch of their family or the picture that Julie takes off from the wall, a picture of a memory, a memory of them at the beach in Oceanside, California. It was a beautiful small town that they would usually visit out of nostalgia. She remembers Going to the town for the first time when she went on a family trip with Manual's parents. During this time they're almost to the age of a hard working married couple still taking care of their remaining kids to grow up. But Now they will be at their age of retirement and they are. And this picture of her, Manual and Jessica, on the Oceanside Beach, Just warned her heart.
This picture made Julie cry. The tears begin to leak down her cheeks. This picture of her family, but you're so precious that she is reminded of the event that just occur today. The horrible stuff began to come back to her.
Her lying on the floor, emotionless couldn't even move her own muscles, and then losing herself, and slip into some kind of monstrous instinct, as soon as she saw her daughter. And then biting her That memory began to come back to her.
Julie begins to weep as her tears of despair and guilt overwhelmed her. She fell on the bed lying there curled up into the fetal position and lay there crying. As she realized what she had done to her little girl. But the one question she doesn't ask herself. What have she become?
–Jassica & Julie–
"Mom?"
She heard her voice. Julie stopped crying immediately, and saw Jessica before her. Alive and standing, with a baseball bat in hand.
"Jessica?" She said as she got up from the bed. Jessica stepped away from the bed. "Jessica! Ha!" Julia was about to run up to her but She stopped herself and realized through her blinding joy. That Jessica is scared of her. Jessica remembers who bit her. Julie slows down and tries to ease the tension to know that she is not a danger to her any more. "Jessica. Please don't fear me. I'm not going to hurt you." As Julius begins to get closer. Jessica slowly backs away and raises her baseball bat, and Aiming towards her mother,
*WHAM!*
She hit the ground.
"Mom! Just! …. Stay back!"
Both mother and daughter stood in silence as they are overwhelmed by such a reunion. None of them did not know what to do or how to explain what they both went thought. But they all have one question in mind and now is the one question that will unite them.
"Mom? Why do our eyes look like them? We can talk to each other. But those monsters are trying to bite us. Eat us. They ate you. And They were trying to eat us. And then you. You ate me?"
The silence between the two was awkward and uncomfortable as both experienced. Horrible things that they don't even understand What happened to each other. Julie began to explain to the best of her knowledge.
"I'm sorry that I did that. But all I can tell you this for sure. I died." Julie then pointed her finger at her eyes, as they were pitch black and red pupils. " These eyes are want the monsters have. Those things that are eating, and killing everybody around them has these eyes. I can tell you one thing and that is even though we have these eyes we are not like them. I'm sorry that I bit you. It felt like every since of me not hurting you was washed away at the moment. I saw you and the car. To my assumption, high temporarily became one of those monsters and try to eat you. But right now I'm not doing that because you have those eyes. I am so sorry." Julie then begin to break into tears as she fell into the floor in guilt.
Jessica had no idea what to feel knowing that she has these eyes. The eyes of a monster. Everything that she was confused about those people. They associate her with those monsters. But the shotgun shots She survived from, and the car crash. Was it from the help of this disease that her mother that bitten her. She remembers that the monsters room before they were eating those humans and they just straight up hate them. Were they Fated to become a monster similar to us.
"Mom. It's okay. I forgive you." Jessica then kneel to her knees and hug your mom as she was. Both daughter and mother embrace each other as they push aside all conflicts and enjoy the one moment of peace that they have.
"Mom, I'm just very confused. We're both very confused. I don't know what's going on. I still love you Mommy."
Julie sniffled. "I'm glad to hear that." She then wiped the tears from her red cheeks. "Did…" She suddenly silenced, As if she thought why she was about to say but then again she needed to know. "How did Daddy died. I'm sorry to ask you this but please I need to know what happened?"
Jessica remembered as the memory electrified her as if it was a jolting bolt of electricity. "He… he… he had full control of the car. Then a car hit us. I think he was too much in a panic that you bit me. The next thing I could remember. Was I upside down in the car as it was flipped upside down in the park." Jessica explained to her mother after she got out of the vehicle and interacted with the strangers with weapons as they were very scared of her. Jessica then explained that those strangers feared her because of her eyes. She explained everything until That man with a shotgun named Frank, was standing above her putting the gun at her. " I thought I was already dead, but then I didn't feel the shotgun. My ears were hurting as the gun shot next to me. But the sound of the gunfire was ringing in my ears. I couldn't hear for a bit but then I saw you, mom. Came up to me asking if I can respond to you. I did the best way but afterwards everything went to black and I passed out. Mom? What happened to those strangers when I passed out?"
It was that question that stabbed Julie, as it was painful to even tell her what happened to those strangers. Julie did hesitate but she told the truth anyway.
" I was scared that I thought I lost you. And that caused me to be very angry at those strangers. So much so that… I slip into being a monster."
Scared by the ominous phrasing. Jessica could only think of what kind of monstrous thing that her mother had done to keep that shotgun barrel pointed away from her head. One part of her was glad, was able to protect her and to be with her at this moment. Another part of her was scared of what kind of monster her mother would have turn into, if it was to protect her life. Does she turn into a monster to protect her? Was this "monster" side of her wanted to be unleashed, and feast upon humans just like the other monsters that her father killed to protect her as well. Either way, she's very unsettled knowing that her mother done unspeakable things to protect her. Matter of fact her father did the same thing. At the world was normal. Her father would have been looked down upon as if he was some kind of crazy gunman, but he did what he had to to protect his family.
The silence had gone far enough. "Mom… we are not monsters." At this moment Jessica doesn't even know what she is saying, but is saying to keep both of them sane. We just have the eyes of those monsters. I think we had this drink too. And maybe… we need to eat like them."
Curious of what her daughter meant by that last mention. " What do you mean, eat like them? Wait. Did you eat one of those strangers that encountered you!?"
"No! I never bit anybody. It was just… when I ate one of the granola bars that dad packed. It tasted… I wouldn't say disgusting. It was so revolting that I just couldn't swallow any piece of the granola bar." Jessica then sat down on the floor on her knees.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm saying that, What if… since we have these eyes that are similar to the monsters and we're still acting normal. Would we have the same abilities as those monsters?"
The silence and the tension between the two was slowly rising. Julie slowly understood what her daughter meant, and if so she needed to know.
"Jesse girl. Yes we do have the ability. Are you also have those abilities too. This abnormal strength and speed, but what are you getting at?"
"What I mean is, The granola bar I ate was abnormally revolting. So bad that I literally vomited Mom, like my body rejected it. I usually don't mind a granola bar, They taste fine. But that taste of awfulness still lingers in my tongue. I have never tasted something like that and it came from a granola bar. What I'm trying to say is. If we have the same abilities as these monsters, Would that mean we have the same taste and smell and maybe sight senses as those monsters?"
