Reo waited until evening for Layla to finally return. Trise and Lia had left a few hours earlier after helping him dress the twins and take care of a few other things. Although it had been three years since he became a brother, Reo still found it hard and confusing to be around kids. They were so small, soft, and fragile that he often imagined accidentally dropping them.
Over these three years, Reo had grown and matured in many ways, but being an elder brother was still a work in progress. He stepped into his bedroom, a loose towel hanging from his wet black hair. He stood completely naked before the mirror on the east wall and stared complacently at his reflection.
"It's been almost fourteen years..."
