I want to inform you guys that this story isn't new, as the Luanrian is on several other sites. I didn't upload it here because I wanted to edit/rework the chapters before I did so. Expect weekly updates until the 38th chapter.
(Third Person POV) Year: 1600 Location: Elegia
Walking on the shores of Elegia was a twelve-year-old girl named Uta. The girl wandered the coasts of the island regularly after several hours of practicing her passion for singing. She'd go for long walks on the seaside and get lost in her thoughts.
She'd think about random things like fashion, what songs to write, and how Luffy was doing, but most of the time, her mind would wander to Shanks. It had been a year since he'd abandoned her on the island, and her blood boiled hotly thinking about him. However, her rage soon turned to sadness.
Despite leaving her behind, she still missed him dearly, as he and his crew were the only family she had. Gordon was a kind-hearted man, and she cared for him deeply, but he could never compare to her previous family or fill the emptiness in her little heart.
Many negative emotions were going through the young diva, and she felt like she would explode if she didn't release them. However, before she could do that, she noticed something, no, someone unconscious and bloody a few meters away.
Concerned, she quickly approached the body and gasped when she got a better look at the person's state.
It was a handsome brown-skinned boy who looked around her age, maybe slightly older. He had spiky black hair with red highlights that went past his shoulders. He had sharp features and a lean yet muscular build. However, what stood out about him was a pair of large black wings with red tips at the ends of the feathers.
Most of his body was covered in deep cuts, bruises, and stab wounds. Also, his left wing was a mangled mess, and half of its feathers were gone.
To the right of the unconscious boy were two swords. The first was a cutlass with a curved blade, a yellow hilt with a diamond-shaped pattern, and a golden guard with a thinner hand guard. The second was a silver-blue double-edged long sword with a black hilt with a crescent moon pattern and a crescent moon-shaped silver guard.
The girl thought the swords were cool-looking and wondered where the unconscious boy got them. However, that was a question for later.
Uta was about to see if the boy was still alive but stopped as she heard him groan in pain and open his eyes, revealing his red orbs.
"F-Fuck," he hissed as he slowly sat up.
The winged boy was in an immense amount of pain as with every movement he made. He felt like his entire body was burning on the inside, and even breathing strained him greatly as it felt like there were glass shards lodged in his throat.
"Um, hi..." Uta wanted to ask if he was okay but quickly realized that was a stupid question. Of course, he wasn't ok! He looked like he was a victim of jumping.
The winged boy turned his head toward her direction, and he narrowed his eyes, making her slightly nervous.
"W-Where am I?" he asked after several seconds of silence.
"E-Elegia."
The boy's eyes widened, and he looked away from her. "H-How t-the fuck did I end up here?" he asked himself lowly.
The boy couldn't remember much, but he knew he was nowhere near Paradise and had a pair of swords before everything went black. He tried to recollect his memories, but everything was coming blank.
The boy couldn't remember if he had friends, family, his origins, how he got injured, and, most importantly, he couldn't even remember his name.
Noticing the dread in his eyes and looking like he was about to have a panic attack, Uta placed a hand on his shoulder, and he looked at her.
"Do you think you can stand up?" she asked, looking at the winged boy in worry.
Uta wanted to help him up, but the boy nearly tripled her size and wasn't strong enough to help him up.
"Y-Yeah, probably it'll hurt like a bitch, though," he slowly stood up, but his legs began to shake, and not a moment later, he fell back on his ass. "Fucking shit," the older boy hissed in pain. "Yeah, I can't stand on my own..."
"Try using one of those swords to help you up?" Uta suggested, pointing to his right.
The teen looked to his right side and smiled. "At least I didn't forget you two," he grabbed the cutlass and used it to lift himself off the ground. It was awkward at first, but he was able to adjust to it and keep himself from falling to the ground again. "Could you grab the other one for me?"
"Sure!" Uta picked up the double-edge and was surprised by how light it was. "I thought this would be heavier."
The boy chuckled. "I may not remember much, but if my memory serves me correctly," he said with an amused tone due to his current situation. "Both swords are supreme-grade weapons, some of the best weapons around. Not only are they known for their strength, but they're also known for being incredibly light," he revealed, shocking Uta, and the girl looked at the sword she had in her hands in awe. "Anyways, is there a place where I can get my wounds checked?" he asked, and Uta nodded.
"Yeah, follow me."
(Timeskip)
When Uta brought the winged boy into the castle, Gordon was shocked. It had been a year since they had visitors and the first person to come to their home, but what really surprised him was how heavily injured the boy was and how he was still alive. The winged teen's entire body was covered in deep cuts that needed multiple stitches. He had bruises all along his face, torso, and limbs. Lastly, his left wing was broken in several places and was missing half its feathers.
Mending the teen's injuries was a nightmare for Gordon and Uta, but after several long, excruciating hours, they managed to patch him up.
"I see...this is very troubling," Gordon commented grimly after the winged boy explained his situation.
"What's going to happen with him?" Uta asked with a worried tone.
Gordon thought for a moment, and an idea popped into his mind.
"He'll be staying with us," he answered, making Uta's and the winged boys' eyes widen in shock.
"Really?!" Uta asked excitedly, as she didn't have anyone around her age to hang out with.
Now, she had someone to keep her company twenty-four-seven!
"A-Are you sure? I w-wouldn't want to be a bother," the boy said softly.
Gordon gave the boy a warm smile. "Nonsense, you wouldn't be a bother at all. However, before we can get you settled, we need to give you a name. We can't keep calling you boy after all," he joked. "Got any ideas, Uta?"
The bi-colored-haired girl placed a hand under her chin and thought momentarily. "How about...Crow?" unoriginal, it may be, but it was the best she could come up with.
Plus, it made the most sense to call him that due to his black wings.
The boy smiled. "I like it," he said, making the girl smile brightly.
"Well then, Crow, let's get you settled in. Uta, why don't you take him to one of the guest rooms?"
Uta beamed and grabbed Crow's hand, practically dragging him through the castle.
Gordon chuckled at the sight and then sighed. "...I better tell Shanks about our new guest."
(With Uta and Crow)
"And this will be your room!" Uta said as she and Crow entered the large bedroom.
"Thanks," Crow replied appreciatively. The winged teen made his way toward the bed and sat down. He placed his swords beside the bed and laid down. "Comfy," he let out a satisfied sigh.
"I'm glad you like it," Uta smiled and sat on the edge of his bed. "Can I ask you something?" her face became red, and she was poking her fingers together.
Crow looked at her and quirked an eyebrow at her strange behavior.
"Sure," he slowly got up and gave her his full attention.
"Well...since you'll be staying with us...I was wondering if you'd like to be friends..." her voice was timid and full of embarrassment.
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind," he said, making Uta beam in happiness. "Who wouldn't want to be friends with a cute girl like you?" he asked rhetorically and smiled at her.
"Y-You think I'm cute!" her face was redder than the right side of her hair, and steaming was emitting from her ears.
"Yup," he replied, amused at Uta's reaction. "One would have to be blind or stupid to believe otherwise," he yawned and laid on the bed. "Well, I'm tired as shit. We can talk more tomorrow. Goodnight," he said before closing his eyes.
"Goodnight," Uta replied, slightly disappointed she didn't get to talk to the teen a little longer but understood that he needed rest to recover from his injuries.
Uta left the room and quietly closed the door. As she made her way back to her room, Uta thought about how her day went and smiled. She was happy to have a new friend to hang out with!
Although there was something that kept nagging at her, Crow's sword, the cutlass looked incredibly familiar...
Nah, it's probably just her imagination.
(A few hours later) Location: Unknown
"Is the Lunarian dead?" asked a hooded man.
"It was a difficult task, but yeah, he's dead, and I threw his corpse into the East Blue Sea. By now, he's probably Sea King shit," the assassin replied with an amused tone, and the man hummed in approval.
"Good. The less those filthy beasts, the better for the World Government. Were you able to retrieve his swords?" the assassin shook his head, making the hooded man angrily scowl. "Explain."
"Before I could end him, the little shit threw them as hard as he could into the sky," the assassin explained, pissing off the hooded man even more.
"Fuck!! Those swords were supreme-grade weapons! They would've made a fine addition to my collection! Now, they could be anywhere," the hooded figure sighed heavily. "Whatever you did, your job well and will be compensated accordingly," he made a gesture with his hands, and several of his slaves came towards them carrying large chests.
They dropped two chests in front of them, and the assassin inspected them. The assassin opened them and grinned when he saw what was inside them.
The assassin looked at the hooded man. "A pleasure doing business with you."
"Wish I could say the same," the hooded man turned around and walked away.
Once, the figure was on his ship and in his room. He grabbed his snail and dialed a number. After a few moments, the call was answered.
"Is it done?" the person over the phone demanded
"Yes, your Empress Imu...the Lunarian's dead..."
End.
