Chereads / Smartphone In Another World / Chapter 54 - Zura Forest 1

Chapter 54 - Zura Forest 1

Spring blooms inside Alex's room.

It will be a few hours before Erica returns, so they need act soon.

The battle was brief, but the process has been quite difficult because the woman's side was happy.

Regardless, Alex feels pleased that he was able to overpower her.

He takes pride in a battle in bed, therefore he is pleased that she was unable to move and her face was filled with joy after the fight.

But this is not the time for it!

She carries her, and they take a bath to remove any excess pheromones in their bodies.

He assists her in putting on her clothing and allows her to rest while he puts on his own clothes and goes to the living room.

He was bored for a few minutes and sat in the shop area.

It has been a while since he opened the shop, but just a few customers have entered, and some of them have not purchased anything.

He wanted to close the shop and focus on his education, but he couldn't do so for no reason.

*Pop

A blue screen appears.

It is his system!

He anticipated to read, but all he sees is a map and a red dot.

This appears to be a forest map.

The map is familiar to him, and after a few minutes of thought, he recognized where the map is.

"Zura Forest!"

[New Host Task: Be the chosen person in the trial chamber.]

[Reward for Task:???]

[Penalty: ???]

Another blue screen arrives and informs him of the task, but he feels strange about it because the reward and penalty are all question marks.

This might be significant, he believes.

"An event!"

As a gamer, he knows where a hidden dungeon appears, an event begins.

He knows where the event is happening, but he has no idea what the event is for.

He didn't think about it because this was his first opportunity to embark on his own adventure.

He considers waking Rica up, but he shakes his head because she is still recovering from what they did earlier.

"Oh! Now that I think about it…"

It's been an hour, but his aunt has yet to arrive.

He considers calling her and telling her he'll be going somewhere.

However, he decided not to because he couldn't explain why he went to the forest.

"…"

He chose not to deal with the predicament, which is still not a problem.

He put on a black hoodie from his reward box, then closed the shop.

Southern Gate, Carriage Station.

Although the sun is in the center of the sky, this area is crowded.

At the very least, the station includes a dimly lit seating area where customers can wait.

Unlike the Northern exit, the Southern exit is more authorized.

There is a ticket booth, and people are calling in their numbers and locations.

Unlike the Northern Exit, they don't follow the "first sit, first" routine.

In this service, riders enter the carriage directly.

It is a quick service, but there is one drawback: people often end up in the wrong location.

Alex Hambell had this happen to him once when he was on his way to the train station.

He got into the incorrect carriage and ended up in another town three hours away from May City.

Fortunately, his money was enough to return and eventually arrived at the train station.

"441, Zura Forest Entrance, Carriage 11. I repeat, 441…"

"My turn."

His number has been announced, and he heads to his carriage.

When he entered the carriage, he noticed three other persons waiting.

Their eyes met, and they just nodded to each other.

They're not sure why they do it, but they can sense they're awkward around each other.

The carriage can accommodate at least ten passengers, so it would be a few minutes before they depart, therefore he decided to use his smartphone.

There's nothing exciting about it, but at least, he can photograph himself traveling in the carriage.

People spotted the flash of his smartphone noticed his rectangular device.

"Sorry."

He apologized, and they just nodded as if they weren't bothered by it.

However, he can see they are interested to his smartphone.

But he wouldn't tell them simply because.

An hour later, he arrived at Zura Forest's entrance.

Unlike the others, he is the only one who does not have a companion.

The attire of the people around him indicate that they are adventurers.

It appears that a few simple jobs have been posted for this location.

After all, there are three teams; including him, and there will be four.

However, solo is not a team, so — never mind.

They separated, and he is now alone at the entryway.

He has been wearing his incognito hoodie since earlier, so no one knows his true identity.

This is the sole reason why those around him did not join forces with him.

After all, they know he's using a magical device to prevent everyone from seeing his face.

It is quite unsettling to think that he is disguising his face because he is a criminal.

They did not speak with him for safety reasons, despite their desire not to judge by appearances.

He has no clue about other people's perspectives, so he begins walking carelessly, looking forward to his first adventure.

Whistling as he walked, he realized the forest was too tranquil.

However, if he could feel his surroundings, his perspective would be different.

*swish

He heard scrapes in the bushes next to him.

He distanced himself and activated his Auto weak point in preparation for an ambush.

*Swoosh

Something jumped into him.

*Whoop

He took out and used his skill stick to stop the attack.

This could be his first battle, but rpg games have prepared him for this moment.

It just took a few seconds, but he spotted the attacker and it's the horn rabbit.

The name implies that it is a rabbit with a horn.

Regardless of its small size, it is extremely swift.

When the horn rabbit's strike missed him, it quickly fled to the bushes.

*swish

He heard scrapes from every bush, and he's not sure where the horn rabbit will ambush him next.

Fortunately, his Auto weak point will guard against incoming strikes even if he doesn't notice them, which is incredibly reassuring.

Well, unless it is not activated, but he chose not to think about the discomfort and instead focus on his combat.

The horn rabbit appeared behind him and was ready to hit his head.

His body turned around in an instant and blocked the attack with his skill stick.

His skill stick is both durable and lightweight, allowing him to handle any attacks with ease.

He switched his weapon to a light saber and decided not to let the horn rabbit escape again.

He commands his Auto Weak Point to attack.

The horn rabbit was ready to hide when it felt a hot rod penetrate its body.

The brightness in its eyes faded, and the horn rabbit's body became cold.
