Chapter 3 - Imprinting His Own Identity

Creek....

"I'm ready."

[As Kafka and the maid attending him walked with him in the hallway of the mansion, he couldn't help but be amazed at the size and elegance of the building, it was almost a ten story building and almost as a wide as an entire football stadium. The designs were well.... The designs in his room to the paintings in the hallways, to the furniture that were all well furnished, and the aesthetics from both the inside and outside of the mansion. It was all so beautiful, everything was so grand. "Could the novel have been this detailed?, it's all so realistic.". He thought to himself, as the reality that he was in fact inside the novel was just beginning to settle in him.]

They truly are powerful, I guess this was to be expected of the Ximmurth family, they're a family that boasts a long history in this country, to the point that they owned an entire territory or should I call it a country based on its size alone. Anyways the start of the history of their family was that their ancestor with a dragon inner beast named Ximmurth, which translates to "The Eternal One" in their language. settled down to this very exact place where I'm residing right now. He was a really powerful being back on his time even among the dragons, to the point that even the slight mention of his name would make the most notorious criminals tremble in fear, apparently he was a really kind person which loathes all types of crime. It was even mentioned in the novel that he pities most people, cause of how weak they were, I guess that's just the side effect of being too powerful.

What made him powerful even among-st the other dragons you say?. Well he had the dragon inner beast of time which from its name alone sounds really powerful, however after a long line of lineages and a lot of breeding with other females, none of his kin were able to inherit his power. After that happened, he just mysteriously disappeared. A lot of people speculated that he disappeared because he felt disheartened that none of his kin were able to inherit his power, as the timing of his disappearance to this problem arising is very coincidental. But no one really knows for sure the true reason behind his disappearance. Still his descendants were able to inherit all of the authority and wealth that he left behind, because a dragon is still a dragon. No one dared to to step up and usurp what was theirs.

[Kafka then bumped into Yukiko and from her point of view he looked liked he was enjoying the tour, however meeting her gave him a complicated feeling, which in turn. Turned the mood sour, and he gave off an awkward yet sad expression.]

[They then glanced at each other.]

Yukiko: "H-Hi."

Farkas: "H-Hello."

[Trying to break the tension between them. Kafka forced a smile, however what came out was a bitter and lonely smile, still feeling guilty about his brothers death.]

[Yukiko then thought]–'Oh no, what am I doing showing such a pathetic side to him. This mustn't continue!!, I've already resolved myself to become strong in front of him, and help him in the trials that will be coming in front of him in the near future. I'm the older one here, I must show my mature side to him, and not burden him any further'

Farkas: "I'm sorry about your brothers death."

Yukiko: "You don't have to bother, it's not your fault, I've already forgave you."

[As yukiko then hugged him tightly, further burdening him with the feeling of guilt.]

"What a complicated feeling....." [He couldn't accept what was happening.]

[Later that day he was getting ready to appear in front of the court, to hear what would their decision be, so as he stepped out of the out of the grand mansion a carriage was welcoming him.]

Butler: "Good morning, Ma'am yukiko. Sir Farkas."

Butler: "Please enter the carriage."

Yukiko: "Thank you."

[They boarded the carriage, and along the way, they drove into the capital city of Ximmurth, called Lorentia, and Kafka couldn't help but notice how medieval like this fantasy world is.]

"One apple!!, for the price of three coppers, come buy now!!."

"This gauntlet is sturdy, I can guarantee it for sure sir, HAHAHA."

"Are you sure?."

"This was made by the greatest blacksmiths here in town, I can guarantee it's quality, HAHAHA, how about it sir?. I'll even throw an extra knuckles, this deal is steal for sure."

"You gonna punch me if I don't buy boss?."

"Nice Pun, HAHAHA. Dad joke approved."

"HAHAHAHA."

"HAHAHAHA."

"Fine. I'll buy it."

"You won't regret it sir, HAHAHA."

"One silver coin for high quality fabrics!!."

"Three bronze coins for a used shield!!."

.....

The whole place is noisy and bustling even in the afternoon, as expected of the one of the most powerful country.–'Maybe It would've been better to live here, maybe this was the thing that I wanted the most, a place to start anew, furthermore I can even use powers that were normally impossible back on earth'

[Such thoughts came to his mind, as the adrenaline rush of awaiting his own judgement from the court, while riding the carriage felt heavy, every second was nerve wrecking especially since he was in the same carriage as the woman he wanted to avoid the most.]

[They then arrived at the front of the court, it had a symbol of a woman blindfolded holding a balancing scale, the similarity back on his world felt uncanny.]

[Anyways as he sat down in front of the judges, all he could think about was that,]–'I'm about to be acquitted of a crime I didn't commit, and I can't even do anything about it, I can't even reveal my true identity, everyone would think that I'm crazy. What would even the Ximmurth family who was the only one protecting me think?. How would I even tell Yukiko that this whole world is just a novel and your brother was the main character and he is now dead because of me?. should I just tell whole truth?, or only the partial truth?. But the risk of doing such a thing is too high. No, how severe is even the crime that Farkas committed?.'

'Come to think of it, to begin with, what is even the crime that he committed?.'

[As he was lost in thought, on how things were proceeding, a certain word caught his attention.]

"We found you guilty for the crime of committing *$%(@($34*%0$#$"/1^\"

'Huh, what is the judge talking about?, why does it sound like a glitch noise.'–[Farkas thought to himself.]

Farkas: "Ma'am Yukiko, may you please repeat what the judge said?, I didn't quite catch it."

Yukiko: "He says, for the crime of committing *$%(@($34*%0$#$"/1^\"

Farkas: "T-Thank you."

"So I hereby sentence you to a house arrest for one month in the mansion of Ximmurths."

"Do you understand Farkas?."

"Y-Yes, your honor."

[As the judges first left the courtroom, followed by the representatives of the other countries, and then everyone left the courtroom.]

'That was crazy. Now I'm going to become acquitted for a crime without a name or no knowledge of, it's as if the world is trying to fix itself, maybe it saw me as another entity?, or is this world even complete?. Sigh, It's a good thing that the crimes punishment was only a month of house arrest. I have to be thankful that I have the backing of the ximmurth family.'

[They then went back to the Ximmurth families mansion, and during the night he finally had some alone time in his room.]

"Sigh....., a lot of weird and unexplainable things happened to me, even today, what the heck was that?. and tomorrow I'll even have to meet the main characters parents."

"On the bright side of things, I guess the crimes is a load off my mind, but another thing just got added again."

"I'll have to prepare.... Sigh, but first I'll have to sleep cause only then will I be able to think straight."

'Sweet dreams, me.'
