Chapter 13 - Test III

The Goblins' body changed radically in a matter of seconds after finishing its act of cannibalism.

Around the monster a red and black electricity became visible, giving it a more intimidating appearance. Its skin began to change from pale green to deep red, its eyes now showed more of a deep blood red color.

His body began to grow almost twice his size, he reached a height of 2 meters tall, along with his musculature that had become more robust. His muscles flexed showing more of his large figure more menacing than ever.

"Goblins Evolved Mutant" a somewhat familiar voice came to my mind, but it was not the same dignified and divine voice I heard when I started the test, this was an emotionless voice and at the same time it seemed to contain all the emotions in the world.

I didn't think much about it now, as I was currently in a life or death situation and much more likely to die than to live.

I immediately got into my usual fighting stance that with each battle I was perfecting and improving. My Duranvil I held it with my undamaged hand and regulated my breathing to lessen the pain in my arm and costil

the broken ones.

The Mutant Goblins was already running towards me with its immensely improved speed, I almost couldn't keep up with it but fortunately my specialty is my agility.

The Mutant Goblins was raising his mace and swinging it from side to side, left and right with great ferocity. I moved to the side, then jumped slightly and slashed from left to right at the enemy's neck.

*Block*

Although my weapon was a retouch, it is also a longsword with improved double edge when I started my training, then I can make lethal thrusts and slashing slashes. That wasn't worth much though, as the goblin reacted quickly to block my attack with his sledgehammer, because of his strength my arm went slightly numb.

I quickly withdrew my weapon to move away and reposition myself, this whole course of actions happened in fractions of seconds, so I instantly started my other attack so as not to lose my rhythm and not to fall into the defensive, which was my biggest weak point.

'If I fall on the defensive, I'm dead' I thought, but I also didn't want to attack without thinking or not let my enemy breathe for my attacks, after all it was almost impossible to do that, the goblin had better physical capabilities than me and besides that he wasn't wounded like me, making the difference absurd.

So, my mind formed multiple strategies and I came to the conclusion not to go on the defensive, be very offensive but stay calm and take advantage of my enemy's openings.

And since he was a monster berserker now, coupled with him just getting a new power that he won't fully control in a few minutes, the openings will come on their own.

Time proved me right.

'BINGO' I shouted to myself.

Just now, as I started to run, the Goblins was also coming towards me, but just now it had a big gap in its defense that I could take advantage of with my speed and some luck.

'Ha, luck doesn't happen, my luck I create it myself' I said to myself while, taking advantage of the momentum of my run, I kicked a branch that was on the ground forward that reached the mutant, distracting him a little and widening his defensive gap.

Now I had several places to attack, but none that could kill him instantly. So I chose a place where I could decrease the difference in physical ability.

*Dull sound

I used my speed to the maximum possible for my current capabilities, coming only inches away from my opponent, swinging my Duranvil in a vertical crescent shape; the goblin took a long time to react, by the time he realized it, I had already slashed deep into his left leg and completely severed his left upper limb.

Thanks to the size difference, my weapon was also able to cut his left leg with a deep cut, even though my main target is his arm.

"GAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR"

A roar of pain was clearly audible more with the spurt of his blood from his arm that was like a hose expelling water, which made me react fast before he attacked me, but I was too late....

*Boom*

The sledgehammer hit my right arm again with now more power for improving its physical capabilities because of its wounds, and at the same time it moved me several meters away, although I didn't fly away like before, as I put my sword on the ground burying it and keeping my balance.

'It still hurts like hell' I said to myself; barely holding myself in place watching the goblin go crazy with pain.

At this point my right arm was all broken bones, it looked more like a rotten meat pudding than an actual arm.

"GHARRR" the mutant goblin screamed as it ran at high speed in my direction.

I didn't panic, since, although he was going at a great speed, thanks to me cutting off an arm and a deep cut in his leg, he lost a lot of balance and therefore, speed; besides, seeing his blood, mine and my opponent's blood, I felt that I was getting stronger for some reason.

He moved his sledgehammer vertically to smash my head, but he was too late, he could only hit my residual image because of my great speed.

*Whistling*

Now I was on his back, I moved my weapon to try to decapitate my enemy, not wanting to waste any more time in this battle and courting my death.

*Shock*

My weapon was blocked dryly completely by his mace, but instead of a numbness as before, I withdrew my sword quickly and moved it again in the opposite direction of my attack with greater speed and force.

*Shock*.

The sledgehammer, managed to block my attack again.... Or so it was supposed to, since my Duranvil cut like butter through the mallet to then, decapitate with a clean cut the Goblins head.
