Rui Ye's smile faltered as he dropped the towel he was patting his face with to the floor, his complexion drained of colors. "Y–You're… leaving? Is that why you've been so kind to me today? Because you will be gone by tomorrow…?" he asked with a faint tremor at the tail end of his voice, sounding as though he was about to cry.
Song Zhuyu, in return, was feeling positively amused as he regarded the man before him, his lips quirking into a faint smile. "Why are you acting like it's the end of the world? I'll only be gone tomorrow. Come to think of it, I should be able to make it back in time for dinner. What do you want to eat? I'll bring it for you."
