It felt like time had slowed down for Owen as he watched blood roll down Lilly's cheeks. Her pained expression remained as her eyes found him, expressing the pain she was in without saying a word.
Seeing her eyes slowly close up as her consciousness faded dealt a psychological blow to Owen. As someone who had known Lily for a while and even had a crush on her, watching her get swatted like a fly shattered him.
"Lilyyyyy!" Owen roared in anger as he shot towards Eleanor like a cannonball, prepared to obliterate everything in its path.
"Pay attention, I'm the one you are fighting!" Alexander's voice accompanied by a crazed laughter reverberated across the arena.
His inflated figure came crashing in from the side, forcing Owen to halt his advance and turn to block. His balance was a bit off due to the urgency of his maneuver, but he could only raise his hands and wait for the attack to hit.
