Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: A Disguised Woman?

"Alright, but don't regret it," Watson maintained her composure, hinting at some hidden trump card.

"I never do anything I'd regret," Zhang Fan declared confidently, setting the tone for their rooftop duel. Both understood the need for a swift and decisive battle.

"So be it!" Surprisingly, Watson pulled out a needleless syringe and injected herself with its contents. Zhang Fan wondered if she was a drug-enhanced Armed Detective, a risky choice given the severe toll such drugs could take on the body.

Uncertain of the substance's nature but aware of its potential dangers, Zhang Fan watched Watson warily. Her power seemed to increase, but at what cost?

"Let's begin!" Watson, now in agony, launched a fierce attack. Armed with a P226 pistol in her left hand and a rapier in her right, she embodied the dual-wielding archetype.

Her assault was lightning-fast. Three bullets in a triangular formation aimed at Zhang Fan's upper body, while the rapier targeted the lower. Normally, this would be inescapable.

But Zhang Fan was no ordinary Armed Detective. He deflected each bullet and evaded the rapier with a swift kick, redirecting Watson's attack.

Seizing the moment, Zhang Fan retaliated with a powerful whip kick to Watson's ribs. Though it should have incapacitated anyone, Watson stood up, unphased. Had the injection numbed her pain?

Red-eyed and desperate, Watson unleashed a barrage of shots, which Zhang Fan easily parried with his Maple Constant Sword. Running out of bullets, Watson persisted, replacing her empty magazine in a frenzied state.

Zhang Fan realized he needed to end the fight quickly. "Now, I won't hold back." He seized an opening, his swift swordplay forcing Watson back several steps.

"It's impossible..." Watson was stunned. Her tailored bulletproof uniform, resistant even to bullets, was now tattered by Zhang Fan's attack.

"You've lost. Stay away from Arya," Zhang Fan asserted, but he paused, noticing something peculiar about Watson.

Watson's shirt revealed binding wraps and a slight bulge on her chest, betraying her true gender.

Her scream was high-pitched, unmistakably feminine. "You've seen my secret. Now you must die!"

Watson's swordplay intensified, driven by rage. Though stronger, she was reckless, focusing solely on offense.

Zhang Fan waited for her to exhaust her strength before striking decisively. Disarming and subduing her, he left Watson unconscious on the rooftop.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Zhang Fan was surprised to find Watson was a woman in disguise. He draped his jacket over her to cover her exposed body, pondering his next move.

Faced with this unexpected revelation, Zhang Fan hesitated. His approach would have been different had he known Watson's true identity. Now, he wondered how to handle this delicate situation.
