Zhang Fan spoke with earnest gravity, oblivious to why Lei Zi had chosen this moment to interrupt his farewell embrace with Xiao Lei and Xiao Tong.

"Captain Enrico, may I have the details of the new recruit? I'm not sure whom I'm supposed to meet," Zhang Fan asked upon encountering Bravo Team's Captain Enrico Marini, a typical Westerner in his thirties with a mustached visage.
"You should see Captain Wesker of the Alpha Team for that information. They're receiving a new member today as well. He should have the complete details on the newcomers," replied Captain Enrico cheerfully.
"Wesker?" Zhang Fan muttered the infamous name. Renowned as the ultimate boss in the fifth game of the Resident Evil series, Wesker was not to be trifled with. For now, Zhang Fan had to play along.
"Right, I'll go now," Zhang Fan replied and headed to Wesker's office.
Upon meeting Wesker, Zhang Fan asked about the new recruit. Wesker, with his blonde slick-back and cold demeanor, simply instructed him to join Jill for the task.
Leaving Wesker's office, Zhang Fan wondered where to find Jill. At that moment, he spotted Chris Redfield, a familiar face and member of the Alpha Team. They had become acquainted during a training session.
"Morning, Chris. Have you seen Jill?" Zhang Fan greeted him and inquired about Jill.
"Morning, Zhang Fan. Jill was in the cafeteria just now. You looking for her?"
As the chapter ends, Zhang Fan sets off to find Jill, unknowingly stepping into a world teeming with danger and intrigue, part of a survival mission set in the midst of a looming biohazard apocalypse.
