"It… it seems to be a mistake on my side but… why would you cling to another man?" Beric asked bitterly.
Yeon Jin stopped crying and looked at him. He was unbelievable. Would it kill him to just apologize like a normal person?
"I already said it but you don't want to believe me. You're really the worst, Beric. You're so cruel. How can you hear me out and still accuse me of cheating?" His eyes were sad and though Beric was surprised to see the expression of sadness in those murky eyes, he was more stunned at his words.
"Accuse you of cheating?"
"Isn't that what you're doing right now?" Yeon Jin sniffed and looked at his wrist. They were bruised from him struggling and all that fear and hurt turned into anger and annoyance in that moment.
He managed to sit up and faced Beric.
