Beric looked at Yeon Jin in horror. He had finally crossed the line. How dare he propose to share a room with the prince regent?
"Come on," Yeon Jin nudged him with his elbow. "It'll be fun. Just take it as us being roommates. No harm there."
"Stay away." Beric said over gritted teeth and though Yeon Jin knew quite well that he was pissing off Beric past his endurance limit, he couldn't give in.
It was one thing to transmigrate into an unknown world, another thing to be from an enemy nation and another thing to live like one was in bondage. If he was going to leesh off of this tyrant prince then he might as well leash off him properly.
"I will not allow it." Beric stated and Yeon Jin rolled his eyes balls underneath his blindfold.
"Stop being stubborn." He said and pointed at his chest. "Your room, we will both share it. And don't tell me crap about me imposing on your personal space. You're a prince, I get it but your room is very big. I haven't seen it but I know it is. Why are you being so stingy and won't even think about sharing?"
Beric's irk on his forehead grew bigger and he grabbed Yeon Jin's finger and snapped it. Yeon Jin took back his hand and screamed in pain.
"Don't cross the line with me. You might not be able to die but there are so many things I can do to you that you would wish to die." He growled in his face but then Yeon Jin snapped his finger in his face.
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Yeon Jin asked and Beric saw that Yeon Jin's finger was fine. What he thought he did was actually just his imagination.
He wanted to enact it in reality but for some reason, he couldn't. Why now? Why was it that when it came to this foreigner, this nuisance, he couldn't find his brutal killing instinct?
He wanted to inflict pain on him, pain that would make him regret all his actions and words to him but he just couldn't push himself to do it. His body definitely wasn't moving to the will of his inner instincts.
"So, what do you say?" Yeon Jin asked, looking a bit expectant while standing his ground.
Beric looked down at him. There was no way he could argue about this and win so the best thing was to just give in and give him his own room.
"Fine. I will have them prepare a room for you." He answered and walked away, not waiting for Yeon Jin's response.
Yeon Jin watched him as he left and smiled in satisfaction. Everything was going so smoothly with this guy that if he hadn't seen him mercilessly and nonchalantly cut off the heads of those maids, he would've doubted the fact that he was a bloody tyrant.
'I guess he just can't refuse my words. Should I be happy about this?' Yeon Jin wondered and sighed in satisfaction. 'Yes, I should be happy. It'll be a good thing if I can get him to do everything I want. I just hope it won't fuel his determination to kill me. Struggling with a bone head is harder than I thought.' He chuckled and walked out from the pillars.
The sky was blue, the air was clear and again, Yeon Jin realized that he was no longer in his world. This world... How much more to it was there? How beautiful was it?
Well, no matter how beautiful it was, its beauty would definitely crumble when a war breaks out.
'War. War. War. Let's try to avoid a war. And even if there's going to be a war, I hope to return before that happens.'
Yeon Jin strolled around. He somehow found his way to the garden he ran through previously and for some reason, each time he spotted a guard or knight, he'd hide. Guess he was still getting the feeling that someone would suddenly walk up to him and kill him.
"The flowers are really pretty." He exclaimed, sniffing in the fresh scent. 'Now, how do I communicate with the holy empire? A spy's supposed to have some sort of communication device, right? I had nothing on me when I woke up here. Did it get destroyed when he was caught?'
Thinking back to Beric's murderous gaze, he was convinced that the communication device did not last a second after being discovered.
Yeon Jin shook his head and said, "I'll worry about that later."
Down the path of the flowers, there was a wooden garden door filled with wallflowers whose flower petals were white.
"I wonder what's behind that door." He wondered and looked back, checking if someone was watching him. "I'm just curious so I'll take a quick look and leave."
Yeon Jin reached the door and opened it quite easily. He found his way in and found another garden. It was completely different from the garden he just walked out from.
This garden mainly had roses. Red roses, white, yellow, blue. In fact, they were all roses.
He walked in a bit further and when he was about to make a turn, he spotted a few people and immediately hid.
'I didn't know there were people here.' He thought and decided this was the perfect time to leave but then he suddenly caught sight of Beric. 'What is he doing here?' He wondered.
The person beside Beric was a lady with fair and delicate skin, blonde hair that was close to the color of silver and bright blue eyes that were comparable to the sky. She stood in a poised manner and smiled but her smile wasn't genuine. It was clear that she was forcing out the smile.
But such a young lady, what was she doing there with the tyrant prince? Wait, was that perhaps his wife? Was that why he was so opposed to the idea of them staying in one room?
"What are they talking about?" He wondered, trying to silently get closer but then, out of nowhere, a blade found its way to his neck and a lady spoke behind him.
"Who are you and why are you spying on her Majesty?" She demanded and Yeon Jin shut his eyes in regret.
'Yeah, I really should've taken that chance to leave.'
