The corrupted world's spirit that wasn't Hexine, whom Raon knew became a mortal cultivator like everyone else in the room, Zwigo's expression faltered due to the huge mess up.
He could see the bleeding Rio, but it was still a failure because the spirit of the world had massive knowledge that he desired, but what happens to her now is currently unknown.
Yet he didn't feel glad about it, as he was waiting for something to happen because he anticipated a chance of failure from the start, making him proactive in finding Rio's daughter.
Just as he was thinking about it, Altair appeared in the throne room next to Rio while in a bloodied state, as her entire being was filled with rage.
Everyone she was with was killed mercilessly, and she was just about to become a toy to the men who ambushed their group, yet in the heat of the moment, she vanished.
As she looked around, her countenance froze on seeing her father's current state as her fury and rage went off the charts, breaking the limits she thought she could feel those emotions.
She didn't look around as she directly took out that sword from Raon's heart, much to the shock of everyone because it was a sword that no one of them could even lift, yet she took it out and wielded it without any difficulties.
It resulted in Rio getting jolted, making his blood spurt out from the now-open wound like a pipe as his face paled even faster, indicating his near-death state.
Unfortunately, Zwigo didn't have a smile on his face since he planned to capture and torture this beautiful girl in front of her father, who was stuck on the throne, but she appeared out of nowhere.
It was Raon who had given emergency teleportation treasures to Altair's groups, sending them to the other safe ones while bringing Altair next to him, given they were on the same continent.
What Raon hadn't expected was the impulsive behavior of his daughter, who launched herself at Zwigo, wielding that weird sword that even he couldn't remove for some reason.
Zwigo naturally felt elated as his hostage was delivering herself right in front of him, which was obviously like a stroke of luck in his eyes as he was sure that he could easily subjugate her.
Yet she changed her attack's direction at the last second, targeting the seventh wife and slicing off her left arm while leaving a deep cut on her left side.
Before she could even scream, Altair had struck her head, and the light in her eyes dimmed as she died in the most ridiculous way possible.
This seemed to enrage Zwigo as he unsheathed and directly attacked Altair using his sword, which didn't appear any weaker than Raon's own.
Altair blocked Zwigo's strike, but she was pushed back by merely half a step, making Zwigo's forehead veins bulge as he added more force to crush Altair.
In response, she went along with the flow and increased the gap using Zwigo's force before readying herself and blocking the next strike aimed at her chest.
She didn't have the liberty to use her other hand freely, which limited her overall strength as her left arm was bleeding due to her previous fight.
Altair gritted her teeth through the pain as rage seemed to envelop her before she put all her sword aura onto that weird sword, which pushed back Zwigo as she struck his face.
Her attack left a superficial cut on Zwigo's face, as he also used sword intent, but much stronger than Altair, which ended up almost killing her as she was thrown to the opposite corner of the throne room.
Her entire body was full of injuries, and all Raon could do was watch as Zwigo watched towards her due to his weak self after the immense blood loss.
It was a wonder how he was even alive despite his heart being punctured through and oozing blood on both sides, making him lose a fifth of his body's overall blood.
At that moment, Altair stood up and attacked while focusing all her strength on Zwigo, which he evaded by changing her attack's direction just slightly.
She landed near the stairs that led to the throne, where she spurted blood as her body was riddled with injuries and her eyes were filled with tears at her approaching death.
"I am sorry, papa..." She muttered in a low voice, but in the silent hall, where even her breathing was audible, it was like a bomb had been blasted.
Raon's entire aura changed as a deep black and crimson-reddish aura seemed to emanate from his very being, which was increasing with every step he took down the stairs.
His aura was so overbearing that no one managed to move during the time he deescalated the stairs, picked up Altair, and then climbed the stairs back.
As he placed Altair on the throne and caressed her face with a warm smile on his face, he was reminded of the time he did the same for Lia, as he felt like a failure of life itself.
"It's not your fault; it's mine" he muttered to Altair in a sweet, gentle voice.
He then turned around as his entire being seemed to transform, and the energy in his entire surroundings concentrated on him, breaking all the cultivation limits.
He broke through the upper limit required to reach the upper realm as he attacked Zwigo and his companions in his mindless state, yet they just tried their best to evade and run away due to the strength gap.
His current strength was even higher than all of them combined, so how could they defend against him when he was singling them out and attacking them?
Yet it didn't last long as his cultivation depleted before it reached the same point it was at the beginning, but he was weakened further as the heavens themselves launched punishment at him.
The entire roof collapsed as heaven's wrath landed on him, which he defended barely, and no next lightning strike landed on him, but the heavens hadn't left as they seemed to be considering whether to eliminate him.
In that instant, everyone except for Raon and Altair attacked him while his back was turned to them as he was stabbed through multiple weapons that penetrated him at multiple parts of his body.
Zwigo himself had stabbed him in the right lung with his sword, while daggers, spears, flail, mace, axe, scimitar, and various weapons were struck at his back and feet.
No one attacked his head or heart as if they didn't want to be the only ones to die, but Raon didn't respond except for swinging his sword behind him; that was his last attack with his entire strength behind it.
As if that attack were beyond the limits of the permission of the heavens in this realm, it raged wildly, but no thunderbolt descended due to his death already standing on his doorstep.
His last attack ended up killing three of the eight subordinates and two more of his seven wives, while also leaving a deep gash across his chest.
No one was left unscathed, though, as every single one of them had grievous injuries as they decided to escape when the heavens raged and struck Rio once more.
At that moment, Raon took that attack head-on, and despite his innards getting electrocuted and getting burned, he didn't die, as if he couldn't die.
He barely managed to walk in front of Altair as he collapsed on his knees at the sight of her dilapidated state, where death was looming near for both of them.
Suddenly, he felt that he tasted a metallic taste as Altair had stabbed him in the heart from the side of his ribs while a sad smile adorned her scarred face.
"Please rest" she muttered in a very low tone, while her eyes were like waterfalls, shedding tears at the fact that she had to be the one to strike her father the last.
Even in his dying moments, Raon was filled with regrets despite knowing he'd go back to the past, as he knew not all his memories would reach the past to prevent him from exploding.
In his last moments, he covered his index finger with a sword aura that he used for the first time as he slit Altair's throat before mumbling, "I am sorry, my princess."
Just as both of them breathed their last, a cold wind blew that seemed to display its sorrow as it froze the entire mountain range right then and there before a huge blast of energy exploded outwards, causing the ice to get so dense that it wouldn't melt for even thousands of years.
Lia, in her spirit form, was unable to interfere because it went against an ancient pact, but since no one was alive anymore, she covered everything with her frost to hide this place forever.
Yet, what could she do except destroy her own spirit core in grievance? It caused its entire frost energy to leak out, causing the ice to turn into perineal glacial ice.
At that exact moment, the quartz crystal inside Raon's heart shattered as it seemed to have fulfilled all its conditions that even Raon was unaware of.
The temperature immediately increased as James, Lia's father, in his spirit form, stopped his daughter's core from shattering, aware of the secrets she had been hiding.
At that moment, the entire heavens trembled before a tremendous burst of energy concentrated around that region, throwing James away as he witnessed that bizarre spectacle in front of his eyes.
