Important: Read Before the Novel

Hello Everyone, Hardy1j here.

I am writing this to explain the book in much more detail than in the synopsis and for those who feel like the regression is taking forever.

I know many would skip this or just race through it, but those who read it will be able to enjoy the novel in a better way.

1. Why the pre-regression arc?

The fast-paced starting chapters are all before he regresses and how he goes on about it. The events that take place here will shape his character to explain it, as it would be better than making him an old monster yet acting like a kid. That's a trope I hate.

The free first volume starts and ends the pre-regression; that is his first life in a fast-paced flashback kind of thing, so don't judge that the pace of the story will remain the same as Raon hasn't gotten his second chance yet. Has he now?

Also, it contains important information as well as character buildup, making it important in the grand scheme of things that I have planned, and if you are wondering about the info dump or inconsistent content, then know that it is well-planned and placed accordingly. You'll know what I mean after he regresses.

But I won't lie and call it the best, as I sometimes go along with the flow when writing, so sometimes I end up writing too deeply or superficially, it's your choice to read or skip them, but I will always make sure to not write useless info dumps except when necessary.

2. Will MC be a proper villain?

Yes, but he will not be a cringey edge lord, so don't think of him like that. His morals might seem twisted, but this is a fantasy novel, and he is in a cultivation world, which is a dog-eat-dog world. He won't be the typical evil for others but good for his people kinda MC, as it will make him nothing more than a hypocrite.

He'll only be good to a few countable people across his life. Favors or deals will be made irrespective of good or evil because you will apply the common sense of our world, which is different from his, along with the fact that he will be like the mastermind evil instead of the arrogant OP villain.

Villains need to be smart, after all.

3. Why romance?

Why not? It is not a sweet romance or a cliche one, so what's the problem? The romance will be developed, and one thing I can guarantee is that it won't be at just the level of physical intimacy. It'll be explored way later, though.

The romance wouldn't become a hindrance like a damsel in distress or a gentle, innocent, kind, sweet, etc etc FL. It'll be a power couple where they can stand their ground on their own without needing to be protected or locked.

It will also explore how real complex relationships work instead of a 1-D dynamic, which you can find anywhere, and obviously NO-HAREM for the MC.

4. Yuri, Yaoi, or NTR?

This is a pure cultivation world where such knowledge is considered forbidden, and hence there will be no Yuri or Yaoi, at least not in the open...

NTR/Cheating/Infidelity: For the MC – Nope.

For others, it depends on your personal definitions. What if someone kills your partner and you fall in love with the killer, only knowing of it too late to hate him or her? Or were you manipulated into doing such things? ...

It won't be the main plot, but it will be used in seduction, honey traps, and the like (both male and female).

5. About the MC

The MC has his own reasons and motives like any other novel, but you'll have to read to know his exact motives, as they may not appear for a long time, and the grand scheme of things wouldn't let itself get swept by them.

The MC won't be craving attention, love, or some bullshit. Nor would he go around collecting beauties as trophies. He'll be equally merciless to both genders, just like the world is.

His personality will not teeter between good and evil, nor will his mind change because of some idiotic motivational speech unless it benefits him more to form a connection with that person.

He isn't exactly greedy, but he'll do whatever he can to achieve his goals. He won't go around slaughtering people for fun, as he isn't a psychopath, but he won't bother saving everyone either.

He is the type who has already learned the harsh truths of the world and realizes that in this cultivation world, everyone is for himself unless they can provide him with some benefit. This doesn't mean he will be emotionless or something since he is human too, but he will surely be numb to it because of his age.

Summary:

1. Romance.

2. No harem.

3. No fillers (will try).

4. No naive/dumb/stupid/retarded/pathetic MC.

5. Few cliches (someone might have read something similar and call it a cliche, and I can't guarantee it either, but I will try my best).

6. No second chances for stupid kindness.

7. Unfortunately, there will have to be stupidly arrogant Young Masters, as such people exist in real life, but it'll be enjoyable.

8. No heroism or dangling in the middle of hero and villain, and no edgy MC.

9. Always open to suggestions.

The cultivation realms are disclosed as the story progresses from the moment Raon has regressed, yet I plan to reveal more information slowly rather than info-dumping. So, stay tuned!!

I wish you a joyous read on this platform even if you don't like my book!! ;)

PS 1: When I mention Kingdoms or Empires, it does not mean the ruler is male, as writing queendom or specifying it every time would only increase the word count without adding to the story, so treat them as neutral rules by both the King/Queen or Emperor/Empress and their counterparts unless mentioned otherwise.

PS 2: I am not very good with names of people and places, and whatever sounds good to me is what I use, or I just don't mention the names very much, but if you want to suggest names or anything, then you are welcome to do so since that would help me.

PS 3: Honestly, I hate filler stories or stories with a snail's pace. In lieu of this, I will keel my chapters crips, short and free of irrelevant information but some of them are just unavoidable since I am a still a newbie author. Please bear with me and any suggestions are appreciated!!
