I paced back and forth across the room, the weight of uncertainty pressing down on me like a lead blanket. Elena's disappearance gnawed at me, a mystery I couldn't unravel. How could she just vanish into thin air? It made no sense. My mind raced with possibilities, each one more terrifying than the last. Was she abducted? Did she run away? Or was there something more sinister at play?
Chloe and Rowana hovered nearby, their expressions mirroring my own concern. Over the course of the past month, Chloe and Rowana had grown closer to Elena. Her absence left a gaping hole in our lives, a void that seemed impossible to fill. But we had to stay strong, and had to find a way to bring her back…no matter where she had been taken.
"Have either of you noticed anything unusual lately?" I asked, breaking the heavy silence that hung over us.
