She knew for a fact that this question would be coming her way sooner or later and in fact, was surprised it took so long.
There was silence everywhere as Prexy searched for the right words to answer Armstrong.
She wished for nothing more than for him to understand her ways and the grounds behind her actions.
Prexy's life was a battlefield, She was a warrior and never had the chance of being a mother.
However, in Armstrong's case, she tried to always be a more caring and gentle aunt, and for that very reason, if not anything else, was why she had to do it, telling him what she's been hiding and enlightening him of the things that were his right to learn.
"I understand that my orders might seem a little incompressible to you, and truthfully speaking, perhaps I am reading too much on it, still I have to do it because I believe this is a necessary step you must eventually go through" Armstrong nodded at her words, He had never disturbed his aunt Prexy in his life and Prexy had always taken Armstrong as the first necessity.
Gently taking his hand in her, Prexy began to explain herself, her woes, her difficulties, and the basics of her decisions.
"Armstrong, every time I look at you, I see the shadow of my elder brother. Be it tall and muscular body or height. There's absolutely no mistake about you being his child" Speaking those words in a doting tone, she slowly caressed his hair with a loving look on her ever-stoic faced she missed her brother, she really did.
He was her rock, her shield, and her light. The one who gave meaning to her life in this Cold and merciless dog-eat-dog world. Sadly, she would never be able to see him again.
One of the main reasons why Armstrong was so important to her, he was the last momento of her brother, whom she dearly loved, perhaps, the only person she loved.
"Armstrong, you are frankly everything I could ask for and so much more. You are handsome and brave, you are smart and full of interesting ideas..."
Stopped in a trembling hitch, she looked down, at her free hands, hands coursing with power yet not enough to be able to protect Armstrong from what it coming, she delivered to him the painful bitter truth, that made it hard for her to sleep at night.
"It isn't enough like your father, you lack the single-minded drive to become stronger, despite your immeasurable talent. The-all-consuming and face his friends who want to destroy every living thing"
"Heart was known as a great merchant ever born. In the last year of his life everyone loved him till he was killed by his group of friends"
Prexy gazed deeply into Armstrong's eyes with a mad fervor dominating in hers, so much that Armstrong nearly took a step back at the intensity he could see brimming In those beautiful eyes of her almost scaring him at the frightening emotions that reigned in them. It wouldn't be wrong to call them to have an almost fanatical glow...
"Armstrong Heart Allien, everyone is looking up to you" The fanatical grow in her eyes dimmed before changing into a sad melancholic light, a light that spoke tales of the tiredness, the happiness, and the pain their wlelder held.
"How is all of this related to getting married, Aunt" Armstrong said looking deep into Prexy's eyes.
"Your father was killed because he was holding something that can resurrect a Gods named Hades, Hades is a Gods of death and cannot be controlled by any living mortal, his friends planned to resurrect Hades so they would have the power to controls the world. So there for you are the only one who can stop it from happening only if you follow your father's will"
"One of his will before he died was for you to have a great partner to stay by your side and save the world, when you are ready I will hand over to you, spell books that will make you more stronger, I have protected you all these years from the outside. I have hidden you from the world because of my fear of losing you like I lost your father"
"Must my partner be a lady?" Armstrong asked with a quavering voice.
"All Men are betrayers that's is why your father sought for you to have a female partner to be your backbone, do not underestimate the power of a woman, a lady who truly loves you will do anything for you, if you find such lady then you will fight for the world, fight for your life, fight for your family. Let me ask you are you ready?"
Armstrong clenched his fist when he heard her utter that question. A question that seemed to hold the burden of the entirety of humanity. Was he ready?
Armstrong wished to say yes, but however, his pride wanted to take control of the colder, more pragmatic, and calculated side of his mind.
"No .... I am not" softly he spoke hanging his head low.
Hearing him answer this, Prexy showed a delightful smile, for the briefest of moments.
She had no doubt for Armstrong.
"Armstrong I wish to see you stand at a height so high, that no one could ever compare you to your father again. I wish for you to live a life your father never had the chance to live. I wish for you to live in happiness but more than anything"
Her face clouded with immeasurable sadness and unreadable grief as she whispered the last painful word. "More than anything I wish for you to never make the mistake your father did"
"Mistake?"
"Armstrong, your father was a great man, but he wasn't around people who loved him" A sad smile full of melancholy and pain, formed on Armstrong's face.
Suddenly further saw his incredulous look. "Do not underestimate the power of a woman"
