[Three Years Ago]
The shrilling sound of the ringing telephone aroused Melvin from sleep, and he blindly reached for the telephone.
"Hello... What?" He sat up straight on his bed and picked up his wristwatch to check the time.
The time was past nine in the morning, so he could tell his mother was at her office already.
"Were you drunk or something? How could you be kissing a girl in such a public place?" His mother asked angrily.
"I wasn't kissing her. We were just talking," Melvin said as he stood up from the bed and walked over to the window, running his fingers through his hair.
It wasn't like this was his worst scandal, but he could imagine how bad it would look, considering that she was nothing like all the other girls he had been with.
"Just talking? Mouth to mouth, you mean?" His mother hissed impatiently.
"You see this? This is the exact reason I don't think you should move around without your guards..."
