"Star? What about Mr. Johnson's case?" Melvin asked when Star said nothing.
"You know what? Let's talk about it later," Star said, wanting to put him through one more test.
"Alright. You should get some rest. You must be exhausted after such a long flight," Melvin said, and Star nodded.
"Indeed, I am."
"Let me show you to the guest room," Melvin said, rising from his seat.
"I have been shown to the guest room already. Oh, I almost forgot something. Do you know the most surprising thing I also heard today?" Star asked looking at Melvin, her eyes piercing into Melvin's.
"What?" Melvin asked uneasily. His heart raced with apprehension.
"That you share the same room with Melvin, and you keep telling me that nothing is going on between you both," Star said, her voice laced with disbelief.
She would have reserved the question for her sister but it would seem out of place if she didn't ask now.
