"Why are you so quiet since yesterday?" Norman asked his daughter as they sat at the breakfast table. He couldn't help but notice that Venus hadn't even touched her food, something that puzzled him and Rhea alike.
"Is something bothering you, dear?" Rhea asked, her voice laced with concern.
Venus shook her head, forcing a small smile. "No, it's nothing like that," she replied. "I just don't have much of an appetite today."
Norman frowned, his worry deepening as he looked at her. "No appetite? That's not like you, Venus. Maybe I should call the physician to have you checked. You're already so thin; you can't afford to skip meals," he said, his eyes searching hers for any sign of what might be wrong.
