Alora remained seated on the windowsill of her bedchamber, her eyes fixed on the moon. "Are you missing me too?" she murmured, thinking of Magnus.
"Yes, Alora. I miss you," Magnus's voice suddenly echoed in her mind, making her eyes widen in surprise. She could hardly believe what she was hearing.
"Don't forget, I've marked you. Even though we're apart, we can communicate through our true mate bond," Magnus explained.
"Then why didn't you talk to me earlier?" Alora complained, a note of frustration carried in her voice.
"It's not easy to establish the connection," Magnus replied gently. "Why haven't you slept yet?" he inquired, his concern rising in his voice.
"I wasn't sleepy," Alora replied softly.
Knowing their mind link couldn't last long, Magnus gently urged her, "I'll be back in three days. Please, don't overexert yourself, and make sure to get proper rest. Do you understand, Wife?"
