Odin entered the house around midnight and headed to his room when he found Venus in the living room, strolling around.
"Why aren't you asleep?" Odin queried with a frown. He slowly came to a halt, waiting for her to answer.
Venus turned her head to glance at him. "I was unable to sleep because I rested the entire day," she replied.
"It's going to strike midnight soon," said Odin. "Go to your room," he suggested. When Venus didn't stand up, he wondered what could be bothering her. 'Why does it even matter to me?' he thought, ready to leave for his room.
"Eugene's cousin came earlier," Venus informed him.
Odin's gaze sharpened with intrigue. "His cousin? What for?" he pressed.
Venus fiddled with her fingers, a nervous habit. "Solomon wanted to see me and said he needed to talk. But I refused; I've cut ties with that part of my life," she declared firmly.
