"I didn't expect to find you here, Melody," Izaak remarked, genuine surprise coloring his voice as he entered his bedchamber. Typically, he had to send a servant to summon her, yet today she was already present, waiting for him.
"Were you waiting for me?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and a hint of amusement. "Well, did you see the wedding preparations going around in the palace? Do you like them?"
"Of course, I like them," Melody replied, stepping closer and taking his hands in hers. "I was with the Queen earlier. She showed me so many pieces of jewelry. It all feels like a dream," she said, her eyes shimmering with wonder.
"It's not a dream. Do you want me to prove it to you?" Izaak asked, a playful glint in his eyes.
"How will His Highness prove it? By pinching my cheeks?" she teased, looking up at him with curiosity.
