Venus arrived at the venue where her friend's wedding was to take place. Fortunately, the rain had ceased by the time afternoon rolled around. She wasn't alone, though; Odin had accompanied her.
As their carriage approached the venue, Venus turned to Odin and instructed him to keep his distance. "I don't want everyone saying I brought a vampire with me," she said firmly. In the next instant, as she blinked, she noticed that Odin had already vanished.
Venus walked through the beautifully decorated gate of the wedding hall, her eyes taking in the vibrant floral arrangements and twinkling lights.
She handed her invitation card, which Serena had sent her a few days earlier, to an usher. The usher nodded politely and led her inside, showing her to her assigned seat.
