Liang Chen nodded without uttering a word. He started the car, heading towards Ring City River.
The two of them hardly ever converse, and now they were even more silent.
Soft music played in the car. The volume was low, just enough to ease the unpleasant atmosphere.
Liang Chen drove at a moderate pace, pulling up near the Ring City River, and rolled down Su Yan's window.
Su Yan looked attentively at the nighttime scenery outside the window.
Liang Chen gazed indifferently at the bright lights ahead.
About half an hour passed, and Su Yan began to feel cold. She raised her hand to close the window.
As Liang Chen started the car and prepared to turn the steering wheel, Su Yan broke the silence, "I heard from Mrs. Liang that you have a villa on Half Mountain. It's relatively close from here and I've never seen it, can we go and take a look now?"
