In the past, Jing Haohao used to wake up early, but ever since Liang Chen started leaving early and returning late, she would pretend to be asleep when she woke up and saw him still in the house, only getting out of bed leisurely after he finished his breakfast and left for work.
So today, when Liang Chen stepped out of the bathroom and was putting on his tie, he was slightly taken aback to see Jing Haohao sitting up in bed.
"You," Liang Chen paused, "Are you awake?"
Jing Haohao, as cold as ever, glanced at the new gift placed beside her pillow before heading to the bathroom to freshen up.
Jing Haohao walked down into the dining room where Liang Chen had yet to begin his breakfast. Seeing her walk in, a flicker of light danced in his eyes. He turned to Nanny Lin and said, "Prepare breakfast for the young lady."
Nanny Lin quickly served breakfast and placed it in front of Jing Haohao.
Jing Haohao kept her head down, eating in silence.
