Jing Haohao didn't know how long she had been walking, only that each step became heavier and her body colder, almost as if she were going to turn into a block of ice. Suddenly, sounds of laughter reached her ears. She stopped, followed the sound, and saw through the fence of a villa two children of about five or six years old, each holding fireworks, running and playing in the snow.
The bright clothes they wore were a perfect match for the Spring Festival, and they seemed carefree with their beautifully absurd fireworks.
After playing for a while, a couple approached and called for them to come inside to sleep. The children dropped the burnt-out fireworks and, shouting "Mom and Dad," threw themselves into their parents' arms.
The couple picked up their children, kissed their cheeks, and looked absolutely content.
The sight was beautiful and moving.
