When Jing Haohao came out again, she carried a blanket in her arms. Treading lightly, she approached the couch and draped the blanket over Liang Chen. Then, raising her hand, she delicately removed the suit jacket wrapped around Liang Chen, carefully unfolded the blanket, and tucked him in.
Jing Haohao stood up, prepared to return to her bedroom, when suddenly, Liang Chen opened his eyes.
Not knowing whether she had acknowledged her feelings for him or not, Jing Haohao felt a pang of guilt surge from the depths of her heart upon seeing the profound depths of Liang Chen's dark eyes. She strained to maintain her usual attitude in front of him, treating him the way she always had, like a friend, and said, "I saw you fall asleep and worried that you might be cold, so I brought out a blanket."
Liang Chen shifted slightly, slowly sitting up. He glanced at the time and asked with a creased brow, "It's quite late. Why haven't you sleep yet?"
