Because of the vibration, the cell phone was slowly moving on the table, making a humming sound.
The screen brightened and dimmed, and Jing Haohao stared at Liang Chen's name on it. She thought of the dream she had just had, nervously swallowed her saliva, and then reached out to pick up the phone.
She took a deep breath, calmed herself down, then answered the call, speaking into the receiver with particular composure. "Hello?"
"Are you okay, Haohao?" Liang Chen's familiar voice came through the phone.
"Yeah." Jing Haohao wasn't sure how she felt deep down, but hearing his voice gave her a hard-to-express sense of familiarity that surged within her.
Jing Haohao swallowed hard, held the phone, and continued to ask. "Did you call me because you want me to take you out for a meal?"
"Mm." Liang Chen replied, saying, "I'm on my way to the bottom of your office building."
