Jing Haohao's sensitive demeanor, full of hesitation to speak, was entirely within Liang Chen's sight. With an astuteness most others lacked, he knew it signaled her total unwillingness to engage with him.
Liang Chen gazed at Jing Haohao's beautiful face, his eyes flickering ever so slightly. He asked, "I am going down to buy some food, what would you like to eat?"
As if not hearing Liang Chen's voice, Jing Haohao didn't even look at him, she just nonchalantly stared out the car window, not making a sound.
Liang Chen's throat bobbed, he moved closer to Jing Haohao and murmured, "Haohao, we haven't eaten anything since noon. It's still over an hour to the airport. Why don't you come down and see what you'd like to eat and grab it?"
Jing Haohao still did not say a word, merely lazily shifted her body and closed her eyes again.
