As soon as he hears his phone ring, he instantly glances at the caller ID. Seeing it's a call from home, he answers it without hesitation.
"Yes?"
Liang Chen's voice sounds casual and natural.
"Mr. Chen, Miss Jing has been sleeping all morning. I didn't disturb her, so she hasn't had breakfast yet."
Liang Chen frowns, and then hears Nanny Lin continue: "Mr. Chen, Miss Jing received a package today."
Knowing that the package was sent immediately on his orders, he pretends to be uninformed, asking with some confusion: "What package?"
"It's the script sent by the crew of a show Miss Jing was filming awhile back. They probably want Miss Jing to act in it..." Nanny Lin pauses briefly before finally getting out the rest: "Perhaps Miss Jing has been feeling down because she hasn't been out lately. She might feel better after doing some acting."
Liang Chen pauses on the other end of the call, then dismissively says: "Noted.", before hanging up.
