Thursday.
Evening.
Just like usual, Adrian, Aria, and Noxy were preparing for dinner. The smell of freshly cooked food filled the small kitchen as Aria set the table, her movements graceful and deliberate. Adrian watched her, a soft smile on his face as Noxy, the little hedgehog, scurried around their feet, eagerly anticipating its own meal.
The three of them had become a real family in a way. They shared meals, laughter, and the small, everyday moments that made life feel warm and comforting.
Despite not being married, Adrian and Aria had formed a bond that was closer than most, a connection that transcended the usual definitions of friendship or companionship. And then there was Noxy, who, despite not being human, was every bit a part of this makeshift family.
As they sat down to eat, Adrian glanced at Aria, noticing something different about her tonight.
