"Trust me, you are gonna be so dumbfounded when you see her, I assure you on this," Brayden muttered, grinning.
"I can't wait for that," Allison murmured and took a sip from the glass of double-shot martini in front of him.
When it was time for the girls to sleep Jillian freshened them up. Because she had no little children's pyjamas at her home she made them wear the shirt of her pyjamas
Not long after she succeeded in making Marley and Monalisa fall asleep, her cell phone rang.
So that she wouldn't wake the sleeping girls up, Jillian went outside to answer the line.
"How is the preparation for the project going? Have you eaten? Do you want me to order food and have it delivered to your office?" Jillian bombarded Oliver with questions as soon as she answered the line.
"I should be the one asking you that," Oliver said. He waved at his team mates comprising of two women and a man. He moved away from the desk they were working so that he wouldn't distract the others who were still working.
"According to the news article on the Internet, the fire incident wasn't a small one. Are you really sure you didn't get hurt? Do you want me to wrap it up here so that I can come home?" Oliver asked as he stared outside of the window.
Although Jillian assured him back then when he called her in the afternoon that she was alright, he couldn't help but feel worried.
"Didn't you say you and your teammates needs to work overnight to put a final touch on the project so that it will be ready for presentation? How are your teammates going to cope without the team leader to supervise them?" Jillian asked.
"Also, I am really fine. In fact I have eaten and was about to go to bed before you called. You can feel at ease and do your work," Jillian assured him again.
"OK, I will try to get things done over here so I can return to your side," Oliver conceded defeat since there was nothing he could do other than to finish his task at hand and go back home to be with his woman.
"I love you Bae, sweet dreams," He muttered not caring that his teammates were eavesdropping.
"I love you too. If you can, try not to get too stressed out. I know the deadline is close by but it's not today or tomorrow. Your team can always finish the work another day," Jillian nagged him as she always does anytime he worked overnight.
"Yes. Madam. I will relay your instructions to my teammates also. Are you satisfied now your Highness?" Oliver said playfully which got his teammates giggling to Jillian's hearing.
"Stop that Babe or else your teammates are gonna use it to tease me the next time I drop by at your office. I remembered how long I had to endure hearing them call me QUEEN whenever we crossed paths," Jillian muttered pretending not to like the titles Oliver gave to her.
"I will tell them not to tease you…"
"You know you are gonna worsen the situation if you do that right?" Jillian cut in.
She continued to talk to Oliver for a few more minutes. If not that he was busy, she wouldn't have disconnected the call the time she did.
The next morning, Jillian was seen lying at the middle of two girls who had their hands firmly wrapped around her body.
The three were still fast asleep when the doorbell rang. Jillian groaned after the doorbell rung the second time.
Without opening her eyes she reached out her hand to the sidetable and picked up her cellphone from where she normally kept it.
"Who is it this early in the morning," Jillian growled as soon as she peeped at her cellphone watch and realised it was only 6:00 am.
Gently she unwrapped the girls tiny hands around her body and quietly crawled out of bed.
Because she didn't know how sensitive Marley and Monalisa were when asleep, Jillian had to tiptoe out of her own room like a thief.
She was at the the living room about to head to the door when someone almost collided with her.
"Zoe!" Jillian exclaimed with bulging eyeballs as if she had bumped into a ghost.
"Yeah, it's just me so why do you look so surprised?" Zoey replied not very pleased with Jillian's reaction.
She strolled into the living room without waiting for Jillian's reply.
"Were you and Oliver doing something dirty in the bedroom that is why you acted as if you had just seen a ghost?" Zoey asked. She walked past her into the living room.
"Of course not. Besides, he spent the night at the office. He wouldn't be able to do that even though we both wanted to," Jillian held Zoey's hands and dragged her to the sofa as soon as she saw Zoey approached her bedroom direction.
"If that is the case then why were you so surprised like someone who was caught doing something bad… Did another man perhaps sleep over…"
"Hey!" Jillian shouted jerking to her feet. "You know I would never cheat on Oliver. I love him way too much to have an eye for another man," Jillian declared vehemently.
"Of course I know that. I was just teasing you. Can't you take a joke anymore?" Zoey said playfully. She reached out her hand and pulled Jillian back to the empty space on her right hand side.
Although she noticed how Jillian stylishly stopped her from approaching her bedroom, Zoey decided not to pursue the case any longer.
Zoey who had a lot of stories to tell immediately initiated a conversation not minding that it was just 6:00 am.
"Your man's birthday is around the corner. How do you intend to celebrate? Will the two of you finally go on the vacation you have always wanted to go to?" Zoey asked curiously.
"I mean you are not employed now so it will be easy to go on a holiday and rest fully without any worries…"
"Mom," A girl in an oversized purple buttoned pyjamas shirt ran into the living room, making her way to where Jillian sat.
