The guests had returned to their abodes and Alexa and her husband were now alone in their big room. She gazed around the room, nothing new was added. It was how it used to be. It's been months and she missed it.
"I'll go take a shower," Aiden said while shedding himself off his clothes. Alexa could feel the detachment in his voice– that was a giveaway that he was still mad. He didn't even try to hide it. She wanted to let the misunderstanding grow bigger so her leaving would be easier, but she decided against it. It would be best to have a clean breakup.
