Chapter 159 - Recalling the past

Aiden snatched the phone from her and happened to see her unsent message, calling him a "shrewd" person.

He cleared it and typed, 'He's bad, but the sweetest man.'

"Return my phone!" she yelled, but he snorted and turned her phone off. She got down from bed, wanting to snatch the phone back, but instead, Aiden pulled her into a tight embrace.

"Don't be upset anymore. I told her not to leave."

Her lips stretched into a smile, but she quickly concealed it and pulled away. "She didn't do anything wrong. Why would you push her so hard? In this world, aside from me, she's the only one who genuinely loves you now."

Aiden gave the woman the cold shoulder, not only because she pleaded for his father, but also because she didn't tell him the secret she had been keeping earlier.

"She had known from the beginning that Aaron and Seth are not my brothers but didn't speak about it," he said.
