It's less exciting, but considerably more safe to insulate the ice before setting foot outside. You stand with Rheita and Sungura by the airlock doors as the machines work at lining the sides of the icy chamber beyond.
"The only thing I miss from Luna is being able to touch the rock," Rheita says. "Will we ever be able to just be with the ice, or will it always be mediated like this?"
"I'm just glad no one froze to death out there," says Sungura. "Following our company work-safety policies is important."
While work continues, there are bigger decisions to be made.
