"Are you alright, Li?" Eliana rushed to Lilian's side the moment Helios left them alone. He didn't look alright and she knew she should go after him but she wanted to make sure that Lilian was okay first.
"Yeah, I am, don't worry about me," Lilian replied. The change in environment happened so quickly that she felt she was being pulled down a hole. The ground beneath her feet and everything around her spun and in a blink of an eye, she was here. She just needed a moment to catch her breath, that was all. "Weird things truly do happen wherever you are," she joked and laughed while Eliana scratched her head. "You shouldn't be here with me right now, right?"
"I know but… you are right, I should go," Eliana said and stood up. Helios for the first time since she met him, he seemed to have been shaken by something and she wanted to make sure he was alright. She might also have the opportunity to ask why he keeps calling her Hella. "Take care of yourself, Li."
Eliana left and Lilian finally had the time to process all that had happened and then looked around at where she was. She didn't even realize when her mouth fell open at just the sight of everything. "That bastard, he was not human all this while, no wonder no one could ever get to him. Hiding here, living in luxury," she said with a hint of annoyance.
Meanwhile, Eliana walked to the stairs, raised her head and looked up at the top floor, "He must be in his room," she uttered to herself. She walked closer to the stairs and stopped when she remembered that there was an elevator. She walked inside it and went up. Stopping, she walked out trying hard to remember which was his room but luckily for her, there were only two rooms on the third floor of the mansion. She walked to the one she was most familiar with from her last visit and knocked but there was no answer. "Mr. Sloan?" she called.
"Come in," he said from within the room. Eliana then proceeded to enter but he was not where she had thought he would be. Searching with her eyes only, she found him standing on the balcony with his back to her and his hands behind him. She pushed the glass door and walked outside before his voice came again. "17 years, that is how long I have searched for you, Hella."
Eliana's foot paused midair when she heard him but resumed walking immediately. Standing beside him, she looked into the distance just like him. "I do not know what you are talking about or perhaps I do, but I do not remember," Eliana said. Everything he said shouldn't make any sense but somehow they do but use couldn't recall ever meeting him. "I do not doubt your words, somehow, I believe them. Maybe it is because of the dreams I have had since I was a child."
Helios looked over his shoulder at her while she cocked her head up.
"What dreams?" He asked. Now that he was standing beside her with this much power coming from her, he could feel that pull towards her get stronger. He doubted she could realize it with her memories in shambles and having no knowledge of who Hella was, but he was certain that she was Hella and she was also experiencing the same thing that he was. She wouldn't come to him if she didn't feel a thing.
"I can not quite put them into words but I have had the same dream for as long as I can remember. It is a dream about someone who looks just like you," Eliana said.
He stared at her in silence as he tried to find the right response to her but he couldn't find any. He turned to face her completely, he reached out his hand and held her waist bringing her closer but she did not resist. She let him hold her. "You have no recollection of who you truly are and you do not remember me, perhaps it is because you have been sealed for so long, but were you able to appear before me as Hella 17 years ago? You set me free, how did you do that?"
"I… I…" Eliana could not understand what he was saying but it didn't look like he was lying either. "I set you free?!" She was the one who led to know this but even more so, 17 years ago she was just a child. How was she able to do anything like what he said and how was he able to recognize her?
"Yes, you did…. Hella did," he picked up a handful of her silver strands and watched as they glistened with suppressed power, threatening to burst. She had grown so powerful even without doing anything. The immersed power he felt from her was similar to that of little Hella, 17 years ago, with the difference of age which had increased the strength and quantity of its aura and pressure.
"Eliana," he let go of her hair and cupped her cheek. "I believe you have what it takes to break the seal on you, or at least let out your true self, then all of your memories will return. You will remember our first meeting," and also realize the bond that we share. He said, completing the last line in his mind.
"Who are you, really?" Eliana asked. She knew he was not a human but what was he then? She had no idea.
"Are you sure you want to know?" He asked, his dark eyes turning darker as he spoke. Eliana stared into those spellbinding eyes unable to look away. It was amazing how his eyes could become so dark that they looked like black holes waiting to pull you into an endless abyss. "Regain all of your memories or become my woman and I will tell you everything that you want to know about me."
