'How does getting something out of my Inventory work? Will it appear in front of me like those Fiery Gooseberries did? Will it appear in my hands? What about for the boots?'

[Items will either be equipped automatically or appear in your hands.]

'Then I suppose there's no harm since I can make them appear, use them, then make them disappear. Will keep people from asking where I got X from. Earth-Qi for the Hammer, similar to this Sabre of mine. Should be safe to use. The Assassin Boots are too useful for me not to get. Unlike those Fiery Gooseberries, make sure these appear in my Inventory right now, not in the air or in my hands.'

[Understood.]

'I'll get both. The boots and the hammer.'

'The difference between single-use Items and the rest, huh? Those Fiery Gooseberries were Copper-Grade, I assume?'

[Correct.]

'Of course. Get me ten of those.'

[You have Purchased ten "Fiery Gooseberies(Copper-Grade)" Items.]

'There was no Grade before. Playing tricks, huh?'

The Young Master chuckled and shook his head.

'This Qi thing is interesting... Show me my Status again.'

]

'Starving, not starved. I suppose that's an improvement. Health Points and Endurance Points... This Status is supposed to make the world seem like a game, making it easier for me to understand things, right? If we go from that then... Techniques are similar to Skills. Physique is like... A toughness Stat? Or a defense one? I suppose it's both Defense and Attack in one. And Qi...'

The Young Master's eyes widened, and the realization made them shine.

'Qi is like some kind of energy, right? Then it would be like Mana. Cultivation Realm is basically my level which takes everything into account, while Qi Stage is how good I can use... Body Refinement. If I take Mana as an example, then the basic would be applying Mana to one's body, making it tougher and stronger. That's the stage that is Body Refinement when it comes to Qi...? In the first place, doesn't Qi have something to do with chakra...?!'

"Young Master?!" The Disciples shouted as their Young Master suddenly opened the carriage's door.

With feline agility, Zhao Laohu opened the door, placed a hand on the carriage's ceiling, and jumped up while rotating his body, landing on that ceiling cleanly.

'If it's like chakra then... Imagine me pulling off a Rasengan or something! Holy shit! Holy shit!'

Lei couldn't contain his excitement.

"Young Master?"

Lei took a deep breath in, before turning towards Ui Feng who had risen to his feet.

"It's nothing. I thought I heard something."

The Jade City was getting closer and closer.

Lei could feel his heart beating faster and faster.

'Qi... Cultivation... Sects... Martial Arts...' He tried but failed to keep his lips from curling upwards. 'So much I don't know, so much I don't know about... So many possibilities!'

The Young Master raised a hand, and Lyu understood that he didn't want her to stop the carriage.

He took two steps back, before sitting on the cabin's ceiling. This allowed him to be out of Ui Feng's field of vision.

Lei sat with his legs crossed, and his hands slightly behind him, pressed against the cabin's ceiling that was below him.

"What should be the Villain's goal, I wonder?" The Young Master whispered to himself.

Lei thought it was a good time to ask himself that question. He was approaching the Jade City after all.

'The System and that Goddess want me to be the Villain, but they haven't given me a Quest or anything... If they had, it would have been easier to go against them. I don't want to be controlled after all. I'll live on my own terms. But if the Quest they would have given had been something similar to what I want to...'

Zhao Laohu chuckled.

'She's a Goddess, so I'm sure she took that into consideration. She took into consideration what my goal is, what it would be...'

Sigh-

"And gazing at the Jade City, I think the Villain's goal will be..."
