Having spent 18 years training and drilling the warriors of the resistance, not just in the main hideout, but in the other 2 smaller hideouts, Old Man Gu had a good recollection of all the talented lads who caught his attention.
Cheetah and Ghost were definitely not part of these talented lads who were yet to realize their full combat potential.
