"What was that." Alex looked up and saw the thundercloud in the sky, it looked extremely menacing, like a god was descending on earth and Earth was welcoming its presence.
"Aghh..." Anzhel shook for some reason.
"We are close to Pagasae, that is the last city before we reach our destination, we will leave immediately after getting a carriage there do you understand all?" Andrei said this.
Everyone nodded. "Yes, Captain!!"
--
3 Hours Later.
Everyone was resting down on a big tree, horses were tired and they needed to rest as well as to eat.
"It's good i thought about taking our bags, we would be screwed if i didn't do that," Anzhel said and took out food from the little cloth bag they had.
"Stop smirking Anzhel, but good job indeed." Ivan smiled and nodded.
Andrei was eating his food and looking out in the direction of Demetrius, everything went quiet there and not even smoke could be seen from the fighting, Andrei wondered what happened to cause this.
"Maybe reinforcements arrived and saved the city, or Larissa took it over." He sighed looked back and leaned on a tree.
Everyone looked tired, nobody expected a simple journey to be this exhausting, they almost ran for hours, and they were now sitting in the mud.
*Drop* *Drop* *Drop*
Now it started raining and they were sitting in actual mud.
Everything was going bad.
"Sigh..." Andrei looked up and saw clouds disperse and the sun coming out, looks like morning came.
A smell of freshness came into the air making the clothes of the boys flutter.
"Eat quickly, we need to move," Andrei said to everyone and the horse that was eating a little bit of hey he took when he rushed towards the barn.
It wasn't enough but they were close to the city, it would get them there.
--
The city of Pagasae was once again, a naval city, very important for the mainland defence.
It was almost the same as Demetrius just a little smaller, and the army was more or so small, but they had an incredible Naval fleet unmatched anywhere.
As the group got close to the city the sun in the sky was already shining bright, it was afternoon.
The city walls were seen from the distance and everyone sighed in relief, they reached the city, and they finally did it.
"Do we have enough money?" Dimas asked.
"I have some." Alex pulled out his stash, there were a few gold coins there.
"I also have some left." Anzhel took out his.
"Yes... mine too." Ivan also answered.
"Ugh... my head," Miloslav muttered and put his hand on the bandages Alex put on his head.
"Shut up, it's your fault we lost some time," Andrei said and rushed towards the city.
"I already said sorry..." Miloslav sighed, he would probably not be able to have fun in their journey anymore, Andrei would always have his hawk eyes on him.
But he also wanted to reach the goal, the scare he got from almost dying was enough for him not to drink for a long while.
They reached the gate.
"Greetings, you need to have an appointment to come to this city, or pay a certain fee." A soldier met them and said this.
"Yes." They took out the money and gave the soldier.
Andrei and everyone finally went into the city.
Pagasae was an incredibly beautiful city with buildings suited for the Mainland, countless shops around the city, and enormous buildings you could see from here.
Even Alex was fascinated by how beautiful this city was, the buildings he saw were almost 30 meters, which was incredible for this period.
"Let's go get some food and rest and speed up to the destination, we can't stay here too long," Andrei said and everyone nodded, and they followed him to the hotel.
It was a hotel named Zeus Lightning Broadway.
"Why is it called that," Alex asked, it seemed a little weird to call a hotel Broadway.
They went in and booked a room.
They washed in the bathhouses in the city, it was comfortable, this city was indeed for rich people if they didn't gather all their money they would not be able to get food and room as well as bath, it was too expensive.
A few hours later.
"Good, are we ready?" Andrei was standing on a carriage.
"YES CAPTAIN!!!" Everyone called out.
"From this point on we are going towards our destination, no holdbacks and no resting, we are going to reach that place in a few days!!!" He yelled out.
"YES CAPTAIN!!!" Everyone followed.
"Now get on, this is going to be a long journey." Andrei jumped into the driver's seat and everyone got up as well.
Alex got himself comfortable at the side of the carriage and readied himself for the journey.
"Let's go." Andrei whipped the donkey.
*YYEEHHHAAWWW*
The donkey started to rush.
"Damn... this is going to be a long walk isn't it." Alex looked over to their road that extended to the Mountains and sighed.
He took out Kykeon, Alex managed to save this bottle as it was in his bag when they ran away, he pulled out the cup and drank a little bit of it...
"Weird... again?" He felt fuzzy again and was very sleepy, Alex leaned on the carriage and closed his eyes, looks like his alcohol tolerance had gotten a lot weaker.
Alex closed his eyes and felt the wind around, he felt the leaves flying around and the sun that was coming down on his head, everything felt fresh, devoid of any chemicals, he felt like he was in heaven...
But something else was happening... he could... sense... a lot of things... a lot more than what he could do in the past... Alex closed his eyes and felt everything, wind brushed over his head and waved his clothes, the smell of fresh air was nice... but actually what...
What was going on here?
