The door opened to the tavern and Alex looked inside.
He was mildly shocked, he could see countless pirates drinking and laughing inside just looking around and turning their heads to him.
He knew he could not show any emotion so he went towards the counter to a beautiful black-haired girl and asked.
"I want a room for 2, please. Irene?" He said this with a smile. he also looked down to see the tag on the table.
Irene looked down to see the Pirate, she didn't say anything else as this was very common in this seas, she said.
"3 Gold coins handsome," Irene said seductively.
Alex nodded and took out the coins.
Irene pointed up and told him the location of the room, Alex thanked her and went up.

Their body was thrown down on the floor, Alex looked around and saw only one bed, a quite comfortable-looking one with some drawers next to it.
"Wow, i underestimated the fabric of this timeline." He said this and sat down on the bed.
The window was opened and light was shining through it hitting Alex's head.

"Wake up." Alex hit the Pirate in the guts and threw some water on him.
"AFGGGHHGG!!! COUGH!!! COUGH!!! YOUU!!!" Pirate opened his eyes and looked up with blood in them.
"What a disturbing bloodlust, you must have killed countless people to get this kind of Aura..." Alex put his hand on his nose, and this person reeked of evil.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOUOOOO!!! AUGGHHGHGHHG!!!" As the pirate was about to flare up Alex kicked him again, this time in the crotch.
"You talk one more time before i tell you to and i am going to go a little bit harder there." He warned and sat down.
"Aghh..." Pirate squirmed with pain.
"I am going to ask some questions and you will tell me everything," Alex said and took out the plaque.
"Who's flag is this." He put his finger on the symbol on the token. it had the symbol of a Jolly Roger with a weird black hat that had a skull on it, from the sides of the eye knives and swords were coming out, it was an extremely evil-looking disturbing pirate flag.
"Hahaha... HAHAHAHAH!!! Do you know? you wanna know??? YOU WANT TO KNOW???!!" Pirate laughed with broken teeth.
"YOU WANT TO!! AGGGHGHGHGHGH!!!" He got punched again.
"Suppress your insanity for a moment and answer me," Alex said.
"Its... Cough... Illyrian Pirates..." Pirate answered.
"Huh?" Alex sat down and thought about it, he had heard of Illyrian Pirates from the history books, they were an extremely notorious pirate group but...
"Why would Illyrian Pirates come to Demetrius, don't they operate in the eastern Mediterranean Sea?" Alex asked, while it was close to Demetrias it was still a long sail to get here from the eastern Mediterranean, he didn't understand why the would Pirate group take a chance to get captured while sailing through official Greek waters.
"I am just a rook crewmate, i don't know anything but..." Pirate looked out in the window.
"Something is going to happen soon and leaders of Demetrias are worried about it, they are afraid..." He said this with a scared face.
"I see... do you know anything else?" Alex asked.
"No," Pirate answered and...

Alex punched him one more time.
"Then sleep." He said this and left the room.
They needed to get out of this city as fast as possible.

Alex was in his room alongside everyone, he was in his bed looking out.
It was already midnight and everyone was sleeping.
"What is wrong with me... why do i feel so paranoid." Alex sighed and felt like his stomach was churning, something bad was going to happen and it was going to happen too soon for his liking.
"Nothing was announced to the public, whatever is going to happen is not close yet, so why do i feel so much discomfort." Alex looked out of the window as he was standing in front of it.
"Isn't Pherae a far weaker than Demetrius?" Alex scratched his head, this was where his Greek knowledge stopped, who would even know about this minor city at all?
"Huh? What's this smell..." He sniffed the air, it felt like it was filled with some kind of smoke.
"Oh... Oh... MY GODDD!!!" Alex jumped back and looked out the window.
*PZZZSSSTTTTT*
An arrow... Hundreds, thousands, few thousands of arrows... flaming... all...
"GET OUT!!!" Alex yelled out.

The arrows fell.
"AAAGHHGHGH!!!" Arrows fell and countless people were pierced.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!" They were all confused, the night was dark, and if Alex wasn't at a high point in the building even he would not be able to see the arrows.
"ATTACK!!! ITS THE DAMN LARRISSAA!!! ESCAPE!!!" Everyone noticed this right now...
The ships that were coming from the ocean were uncountable, countless, hundreds of ships with giant flags on them were extremely close to the Demetrius.
"WHY DID NOBODY WARN OF THIS!!!" People confusedly ran away.
"Get up... Cough..." Alex slapped his crewmates.
"WHAT!!!" Ivan jumped up and everyone followed.
"What's going on." Anzhel wiped his eyes and said this.
"GET UP YOU IDIOTS!!!" Andrei immediately took control and kicked everyone.
"I AM UP!!!" Laszlo jumped up.
"We are under attack, i don't know who they are or how they managed to slip by this close... but we are in trouble," Alex explained the situation, he was shocked at how close the boats were, what were fleets of Demetrius doing, where were the lighthouses for notifications, this didn't make sense at all.
"We need to escape, it's good that i have already rented the carriages, take your asses, our rest is over." Andrei looked out and saw the flaming city with people panicking all around and ordered.
"YES CAPTAIN!!!" Everyone yelled out put their clothes on and rushed out.
The inn was empty, nobody had time to worry about liquors when you were about to die.
"Let's go," Andrei ordered and rushed away from the Tavern with everyone.
They looked around to see complete chaos.

Cannons were firing from the ships destroying buildings.
"Aghhhgh!!! DAD!!!" Kids were crying on the ground as blood splattered all around the venue.
"This is hell," Alex said but he wasn't panic-stricken, he experienced things countless times more brutal in the war he went through on Earth.
"The hippodrome is close." Andrei pointed his hand to a big house a few meters away.
They rushed towards it and entered it, horses were all taken away except for a few.
"Take the horses," Andrei asked.
"But we only rented 5..." Laszlo muttered.
"TAKE THE DAMN HORSES!!!" Andrei didn't even say anything just spit on the ground.
Everyone took the horses and surprisingly they were enough.
But... Alex...
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING ALEXANDER!!! TAKE THE DAMN HORSE!!!" Andrei yelled out, he was about to go crazy, they were in a warzone and these idiots were just walking around.
"I... Don't know how to ride a horse." Alex said this enthusiastically.
