*BSHHHHHGGGGHHHTHTTT*
The sea was moving around giving boys some chasm in their bored sea life.
It has been about 3 days since they left the village, nothing much has happened except for a rainy night that went peacefully, people on the board were grown in the sea, and they found anything and everything to play with.
Well... but they had someone on the crew that wasn't like that.
"Damn, how do you guys spend time in the sea? i am going to melt from boredom..." Alex asked Dimas who was playing Petteia with Laszlo.
"What's wrong sleepy boy, have you not been in the sea in your childhood?" Laszlo asked Alex with a smile.
Alex got red from embarrassment, he was called a sleepy boy because he didn't have anything to do, so he just slept as much as he could.
"Come on now, i may not remember what i did in my childhood, but i know i wasn't a sailor," Alex responded and sat beside them.
"Oh really? yeah, i forgot you got amnesia." Dimas responded to this and cleaned the table.
"You want to play?" He asked Alex and gave him the green side.
"I don't know the rules..." Alex responded.
"It's easy, we are going to teach you." Laszlo smiled and went back letting Alex sit in his chair.
Alex looked down at the board, it kind of looked like chess from his perspective, the board had little rectangle holes in them, and there were about 9 pieces on each side, one green and one yellow.
"Petteia is a game you play with your mind, you see how every piece has a little circle in them and one doesn't? well, that is your subordinates, and the one that doesn't your King, you need to kill off the subordinates in a way that you aren't going to get trapped and surrounded by the enemy side." Laszlo explained the rules.
"Hm? Is that it?" Alex asked, this seemed too easy.
"Hm? HAHAHAHAHAHA you think this is easy? when you play with a good opponent, even going past one soldier becomes trouble, let's start..." Dimas laughed and put his pieces on his side.
The checkboard looked like this, about 8 pieces behind the king that were about 3 holes distance from the side of the board.
Before they started Alex heard a noise.
"Oho? Petteia, this brings back memories, get up Brat, i want to play." Andrei loomed over them like a shadow and physically pushed Dimas away.
"Yes... Captain." Dimas didn't get angry and let Andrei play.
Alex furrowed his eyes.
"Did they explain some rules to you?" Andrei asked.
"Yes they did Captain, but i haven't played this ever..." Alex was interrupted by Andrei.
"Good, since you know the game we will bet something." He put his hand on his chin and thought.
"I GOT IT!!! i will bet this alcohol." He pulled out the wooden bottle and said this.
"Hm? Isn't drinking disallowed on the ship?" Alex asked.
"No, i am the Captian, i can do anything kid..." Andrei responded.
"Now tell me what you bet." He continued.
"I don't have anything to bet Captain... can we just play for the fun?" Alex sighed and asked.
"NO!!! REMEMBER THE FIRST RULE, I TELL YOU TO DO SOMETHING YOU DO ANYTHING!!! NOW SAY WHAT YOU BET" Andrei yelled out splashing saliva on Alex's face.
Alex's face visibly distorted and was about to say something before he heard a noise.
"I get it!!! if you lose, you become my errand boy in this mission..." Andrei said this.
Alex was confused "Aren't we your errand boys already with your rules Captain?" He asked.
Laszlo next to him responded, "It's different Alex, we are the crewmates in this ship, the rules may have stated that he can order us anything but he can't... he can't order us to sacrifice ourselves, as for errand boys... they are slaves..." Laszlo said this.
"No, i decline." Alex immediately stood up, he would have destroyed this man in any other board game but not in the one that he never played.
"Huh? What are you doing, i order you to sit down." Andrei said this in a cold voice.
"You are asking me to be a slave Andrei, and you are only betting some alcohol on it, my life is worth countless times more than that," Alex said making Andrei stop for a moment.
Then he didn't say anything about the disrespect and laughed "HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! do ya think this is just an alcoholic boy? here take a sip." He pulled out a cup and poured the alcohol in.
The color of the beverage was completely white, like milk except it was more transparent.
Alex remembered some bad liquids that looked like this and was quite disgusted, but he sighed and thought Andrei would not drink those.
He took the little 3-centimeter-sized cup and took a sip.
*BSHHHHHGGGGG*
"Huh??!!!" Alex exclaimed.
Immediately he felt something different, the taste of this beverage was much different than what he was expecting, it was quite sweet and the moment it touched his tongue, his mind cleared.
And even without him trying to imagine anything... some little white shines appeared around his world.
Alex immediately knew what they were... but they were too small and he couldn't catch them.
"It's delicious isn't it... the name of this drink is KYKEON!!!" Andrei yelled out.
"WHAAATTT!!!" Crewmates that were listening yelled out.
*BSHHHGGGG*
One Anzhel even fell from the watchtower.
But like nothing he stood up and exclaimed.
"How... is that possible," Laszlo said this.
"Hahahahahaha, i took it from Eleusis from that people, it is the great beverage offered to Gods!!! now do you think this isn't worth as much as your life brat? you know if i put this in a big city countless people would swarm over to get it?" Andrei looked at Alex mockingly.
Alex put the cup down and sat down, he looked down at the chessboard.
3 Minutes passed.
Andrei looked at him not getting mad.
"Alright, i accept let's play it," Alex said, and... his entire demeanor changed.
