The city's rains relax as the clouds fade away revealing the beautiful night sky with it's stars shining their heavenly light along with the distinct full moon. The city's residents return to their busy lives which leads to the roads livelihood returning.
Kyran exits the shower to find his clothes folded on the ground waiting for him which seem rather clean though the scent of rain was still present. He does his preparations and dresses up as he goes towards the living room. On his way he notices the sounds of relaxing weather meaning his mother will soon be on her way. He reaches the living room to find Ms.Travers calmly sitting on a chair by the window seemingly stress free though one thing bothers him, she's smoking.
"Miss," he calls "isn't smoking bad for your health?"
"Ahh you're finally done," she states "don't worry about this I'm not an addict, it's just an occasional stress reliever."
"Okay then," he says not entirely convinced "just please take care of your health."
"Yours is more important since you're so young and already went through all of that."
He takes a moment to notice her change in clothes as she is now wearing black jeans, black boots with white soles, a white short and a dark brown open overcoat.
"Your mother just called," she added "she'll be here soon so be ready."
"So where's your boyfriend."
"Huh, what do you mean?" she asked.
"Marcus cause it seems like your the only one here."
"You have a strange imagination." she joked "Marcus is my cousin didn't I tell you. Unfortunately there still hasn't been a man in my life and I'm not that desperate to go for my own family."
"Oh!," he trembled as he realizes the idiotic thoughts he had "I'm so sorry for assuming things."
"Don't worry, just don't start some funny rumors at school."
"Yes but it's weird though how you're this beautiful yet you haven't had a man, maybe it's your personality that's a turn off." he says as he turns to see her death stare signifying her murderous intent which sends chills down his spine.
"You know," she lectures "that's a lot of nerve coming from someone like you. The only thing stopping me is the earlier comment so watch your tone when speaking to people."
"Yes, I'm so sorry!" he professed.
Ms.Travers receives a notification on her phone which she checks then looks outside down to the ground and sees a car pulling to a park.
"Seems that your mother is here." she says as he looks out the window "I'll get my umbrella, you just wait for me by the door. Oh and Marcus went out by the way."
He does so as she then comes to the door with a transparent umbrella, unlocks and opens the door then they both exit as she locks it as they both go down the stairs to the ground floor. Once they reach it she opens her umbrella as he comes under it then they exit the building.
Kyran is greatly greeted by a warm embraceable hug from his mother who's sobbing dearly.
"Mom what's wrong?" he questions while hugging back.
"Oh it's fine," she releases him "I just let my emotions get the better of me. I'm just glad you're safe." She then turns to Ms.Travers and bows her head sincerely "Thank you so much for looking after Kyran, once again I'm in your debt."
"Relax raise your head," she says as they head under a roof "you're not in debt I'm just helping out as your friend."
"But you've helped me so many times, I have to return the favor."
"Anderson," she holds her shoulder "you living your best life with your children is all I want for you so you're not in debt."
"You're too kind."
"I see you've been working really hard, your still in your uniform and those bags under your eyes are a big giveaway."
"You look tired yourself too. Actually there's something else I wanted to talk to you about."
"Hmm, Kyran why don't go to your mom's car while her and I have a little talk."
"Okay," he replies "just please don't take too long."
He heads to the car and waits and although he had requested it, they weren't going to listen. They chatted for quite a long time to the point he began to do random stuff in the car till his eyes got heavy and he fell sound asleep.
"Hope we didn't take too long." Ms.Travers says as his mother opens the car door.
"He's fallen asleep." his mother informs her.
"Well after today he's earned it. Make sure he's well rested for school and the future extra lessons."
"I will, thank you for the help. I'll see you soon."
"Bye, tell the other kids I said 'Hi'"
She drives off into the city who's traffic isn't too congested allowing her to pick up the pace to reach home. She hears noises coming from the back as she looks through her rear view mirror to see that Kyran has woken up.
"You two had a really nice chat." he says.
"Sorry we took long, we should be home soon and you have to sleep."
"Yeah I really do. Hey mom."
"Yes."
"How exactly did you meet Ms.Travers and why do you trust her so much?"
"Well," she says as she thinks "it was a very long time ago when you were still a baby but that's a story for another time what you should know is that other than my children she's the only other person I trust. I received a call from the doctor saying that Kiana should be expected to wake up soon."
"That's great news."
"Yes it is but, you know she went through a lot during that accident and I don't think she'll be mentally okay when she wakes up, so it's best that we treat her properly and get her mind away from that incident."
"I just hope we can bring her back to her smiling self again."
"You're okay yourself, right?"
"Don't worry about me, I'm just thankful that we all made it out alive."
"That's good to hear. Ah we've reached home."
She parks the car as they exit to be greeted by no rain and mild winds in the area. They head into the building and to their apartment room which has been tidily arranged.
"Y-You seem quite t-tired." she yawns.
"You look more exhausted than me. Let's get you to bed." he says as he assists her to her room and tucks her into bed "Goodnight mom."
"G-Goodnig..." she falls asleep.
He heads to his room and switches on his computer as he directly goes on the web. He searches up the best exercises to improve his agility which turns up to show him that most require running which he can't do at home so he proceeds to research about Sealers who are healers.
The search comes up and shows him that the best publicly known healer is a 24 year old woman from the Southern Asian Kingdom from the Indian region. She is known by many names but does reveal the real and is ranked Platinum amongst the sealers which is insanely rare across the globe. The web does not provide a lot of information other than her healing method which is caused by vines growing from her forearm which can cover an entire Order and heal them insanely quick as long as the Sealer was somewhat alive in someway, most say she is some sort of priest and others call her a gift. He then searches up how she would compare to his elder sister Kyra which shows that it would take at the very least 5 of the top ranked Gold tier Sealers to stand a chance against a bottom ranked Platinum tier Sealer.
This information shocks him as it proves that his sister has no chance against her due to the fact that every Sealer must have combat knowledge. He thinks to when the system showed her struggle against Baron which only concludes how far he has to go to be able to protect Kiana. He knows that it is incredibly hard for Sealers to get stronger, but with the system's help he is confident that he will be able to go somewhere and hopefully enough to stand a chance. 5 years is all he has to grow his focus so he must make use of it as much as possible.
His fatigue catches up to him as he turns the computer off but is too tired to change clothes so he drops asleep on his bed.
Elsewhere Marcus arrives home to find Ms.Travers fast asleep on the couch which he has not seen for a long time due to the Colt issues so he gets her a warm blanket and covers her.
"Thank you Kyran," he thinks "you have no idea how much she needed this."
He turns off the lights then heads to his own room as the break of midnight strikes.
