Dawn arrived.
Alden, Neo, Owen, and Chloe left the dormitory.
Arach led the way, and they all headed to the city gate.
It didn't take them long to arrive at the city gate. But to their surprise, there were no guards, and the gates were closed. Only Kai stood by the city gate, leaning with his arms crossed, occasionally tapping his index finger off his arm.
Kai spotted them. He didn't waste time and stormed at him.
Seeing Kai rushing at them, everyone frowned.
"What happened?" Arach asked.
"Things are bad. I advise you not to leave the city." Kai said hurriedly.
"Did Elttil's beast escape?" Neo asked.
Kai's eyes widened. "How did you know what happened?" No one except Stein knew Selena was in the dormitory of the East Academy. And neither Selena nor Stein would inform Kai, a nobody in their eyes.
"So he did escape," Neo smiled bitterly.
"No," Kai shook his head. "It's a lot worse."
