As the man examined everyone's expression, Alden, Neo, and Owen put up a concerned and confused expression. In comparison, Chloe remained with her usual emotionless expression.
"Alright," The man sighed. "You are free to leave. There won't be any classes today. As you leave one by one, we will ask you a few questions, and then you can go."
The two city guards in full armor stood by the door.
The students looked at each other and slowly stood up, leaving. When they got to the door, the city guards asked them a few questions. It was mainly the questions of the type: "Did you notice any strange behavior from your teacher?" Or "Do you know anything about the beast in the hallway?"
But almost every student's reply was the same. "I-I don't know, I-I was in my room. I was too scared to check."
