The food is good, and I end up eating much more than I planned. Dominik was right about ramen being comforting. The warmth from the dish spreads everywhere, kind of like being hugged from the inside. And now I'm fully exhausted, but I want to know more about what Ivan said before I allow myself to fall asleep. I want to know what I'll be waking up to.
"We should get you to bed." Dominik leans over to pick up my bowl.
"But we haven't talked yet," I say, fighting my eyelids that have become incredibly heavy. "You didn't drug me, did you?"
A deep scowl is his reaction, and it actually makes me feel bad that I thought that aloud. I've offended him. But I'm being held against my will. It's not exactly a far-fetched thing to imagine.
"No. I didn't drug you. I won't ever do that. No one else will either, okay?"
"How can you be sure?" My eyelids close for half a second too long before I force them back open.
