"No!" Alex yelled, imagining the worst. Without any second thoughts, he jumped into the hole, while murmuring, "Please be safe... Please be safe..."
That was the only thing Alex murmured while sliding across the narrow path. It was like it was perfectly made for a human-sized creature to descend.
Alex's hand brushed against the stones, which were like a result of novice sculpting, with uneven surfaces that gave Alex a lot of bruises. If he was slow in his approach, there would have been no injuries.
But currently, he did not stop or care about it and maintained his hurried step. Instead, he increased his speed even more.
After all, the path, which was previously narrow, now widened, indicating that he was about to reach somewhere open, a place that could be used as living quarters.
"Please be safe, Rue. I am here," Alex murmured to himself, hoping for the safety of his companion as he continued on his journey.
