The moment Rin's words echoed, it was like an electric current generated around charging both Alex and Steve's bodies to the limit, pushing them to accomplish their assigned roles.
Both ran toward the artifact—Alex raced straight toward it, while Steve took a detour. They aimed to confiscate the artifact, detaching it from the Boss, and preventing him from using the spirituality surging from it to heal himself.
Rin fired from her assault rifle emptying bullet after bullets at Boss Hearts it became the only target for her shooting practice sound of fire firing echoed.
—Rat Tata. Taa!*
These bullets glowed blue due to the coursing spirituality around the white structure. A buzzing sound echoed as they pierced through the wind, ultimately landing on the octopus's body targeting both of his hearts severely injuring them.
The wound in the heart becomes an opening in the boss's circulatory system. It transforms into a pore that pushes a large amount of blue blood, spilling onto the ground, almost like the opening had transformed into a fountain of pressurised blue liquid.
This Sudden attack threw Octopose's head boss off guard. The relentless assault on his chest became an obstacle in his path.
He struggled to stand up and confront the incoming threat so he put all of his four arms to make a shield, but whenever he moved them, a bullet came flying, rendering the motion effortless.
He endured the relentless attack, trying to find a way to gain any advantage he could.
They would succeed; just like Alex reached the artefact, Steve would also accompany him in mere seconds.
Rin perceives her surroundings in extreme detail while most of her focus is on the boss, who helplessly attempts to defend himself from her attack raising his four arms from time to time that too were getting pierced by glowing bullets.
Rin smiles in satisfaction and stands up she yells in menace.
"You tasty food, I swear after all of this is finished I'll eat takoyaki speciality made from your flesh." A crazy smile adorns her face hidden beneath the glassy helmet.
She slowly started walking toward the boss, closing the distance between them, so the damage she was inflicting could be maximized.
Suddenly, she sensed a tremble beneath her feet, like the ground she was standing on was shivering. Her confidence was shattered as the land beneath her waved and blasted apart the crystalline surface. A large shark emerged from it, directly attacking Rin's head as if it had already instructed to do so.
Boom! The shark landed on her glassy helmet, breaking it apart. Some broken fragments entered inside, while some came flying out.
The octopus head boss instantly took action as the relentless attack on his body stopped. He lunged toward Rin, his hand immediately covered with armour made of minerals. He used that to balance his movement as well as increase the strength behind his attack.
—Boom!
The fist of the boss connected with Rin's abdomen, the force of impact breaking her battle suit apart. The fabric twirled around, and in the next blink, an intense sound wave spread around, generating vibrations in the air.
The land too trembled under the might of the attack as the force behind it sent Rin hurling back. Her body flew back, propelling outside the field where the artefact was situated
Thud—thud
She landed on the ground her body bouncing up and down. She rotated in the air again putting the assault rifle at her back and retrieving her handgun her vision was blurry she sent all of her focus to target the boss and then.
—Bang —bang! She fired two rounds Finlay with a last thud collided with another large pillar.
Two continuous shots travel in the air, approaching the boss.
A large wall ascended from the depth of the ground, a representation of the boss's strategic thinking who wanted to trap both Alex and Steve. It created a barrier around the field, transforming it into a dome or more like a prison.
The two bullets she fired barely avoided the ascending structure and landed on the eyes of the boss.
—Thud!
Dozens of meters away from that dome, Rin regains her equilibrium. Breathing heavily, she leans back, taking aid from the pillars she landed on, moving up while putting her hand on the surface. She stood with its support, not stopping there; she retrieved her assault rifle from her back, using it as a stick to properly balance herself.
"So that's how it is," she says, putting her hand on her chin, grabbing the remaining part of her glassy helmet whose half was broken apart. She moves it away and throws the thing aside.
She reveals her injured head, multiple broken fragments of glass stabbing at the right side of her face, with even a large mark on her eyes bleeding.
—Bleugh! She vomits blood on the ground, containing green bile juice too, indicating her internal organs are also damaged.
Even then, she stands and laughs.
—Hahahaha!
Her temperament resembles that of a drunken woman, swinging left and right. Despite that, she reloads her assault rifle, saying with a crazy smile.
"You can't block my path," she declares.
She aims in front of her.
The previous crystalline land beneath was now cracked in multiple places. Dozens of small swimming pool-like holes spread around.
Some large sharks jump out from them, not one, not two, but thousands of them, covering the dome at the centre. All of them jump up and down with each leap approaching her.
Now, with a bloody red vision, blurred in the line between friends and foes, a splitting headache greets her, embodying she had used too much spirituality and couldn't endure its further generation.
A shark jumped from the front, landing on the ground, and then again entered the water. When it came out, she was accompanied by a dozen or more, each surrounding her from all directions.
The atmosphere transformed into a hunting ground for the sharks, which hungrily closed the distance between Rin and them, threatening her to run away or become food.
"Getting cocky, aren't ya?"
With that, she fires at the incoming legion.
