Chapter 15 - Invocation and enlightenment

Alex calmly stood there, facing this eerie sight.

"Go sit in that triangle," Shila commanded.

He nodded at Shila's guidance and started to walk toward the pointed space. With each step, his resolve strengthened, fueling his determination to confront what is about to come.

The different body parts placed in square corners. One corner had an eyeball emitting a silverish glow, another had a bluish heart pumping purple spark, and the third a black lung exhaling some abysmal dark particles.

Standing within the triangle of the ritual ground, the sight sent an uneasy wave through his psyche. He didn't want to stare at them for long, so he overlooked the sacrificial ingredients and focused around.

His eyes were fixed on another similarly empty and decorated space where Shila had finished her invocation.

"Raser, listen carefully," Shila said, drawing his attention toward her. After both were face-to-face,

She gestured for him to sit down and began her explanation.

"This enlightenment method is passed down through our father. Our grandparents were against the mother and father relationship, thus banishing him outside the family. But father didn't want us his children to suffer and be stuck as normal humans forever. So, he fought with Tristar family and forcibly confiscated this recipe."

She didn't explain in detail, aware that time is of the essence in the current situation. So she started to inform him about important key points.

"This enlightenment recipe is the only one that can help us invoke our spirit body."

"This includes raw sacrificial ingredients that are hard to find. It needs organs from a single creature family that carries the blood of Triumvera," she continued.

"Triumvera is an ancient mythical beast, said to possess three head, each displaying a different nature of his ability: the center head embodies wisdom, the left for energy, and the right head for physical strength. Our ancestors were his students, thus gaining the name 'tristar.'"

"That's it, Raser Tristar. What are you willing to sacrifice to gain your enlightenment?"

Alex sat in a lotus position inside the ritual ground, hearing Shila sudden question.Memories from the previous events flashed in his mind, and he repeated what he heard.

"Essence of unborn child, eyes of mother, father's lungs, and sibling limbs," he replied.

Shila nodded toward him but inwardly scolded,

_You idiotic dumbass, how can you forget to specify the role of the ingredients?_

In the ritual, each ingredient plays a specific role.

The main ingredient represents the desired trait, akin to the main components in a dish like vegetables or meat. The remaining ingredients act as catalysts, enhancing the overall ability, much like spices add flavour to a meal.

The heat represents energy much Like blood used In invocation..

But the brother of her didn't specified what was main ingredients or what was just a catalyst..

Nevertheless, she passed a knife to Alex, who took it with a trembling hand.

Now onto the next step, he put the knife on his palm, fighting against the urge to stand up and run away.

Putting some pressure on the knife's edge, enough so he could bleed, shaping his palm into a cup, he accumulated some blood drops. He extended his hand, which reached the periphery of the ritual ground, on the white line of the square.

He flipped his palm, causing the blood to fall on the milky path.

For a breath, nothing happened, the surroundings fell into an eerie silence.

But in just the next blink, the blood drops started to pulsate heavily, dancing around intensely like celebrating the moment when they had come into existence and gained life.Suddenly They began to split, increasing in number, and commenced their march in the white-carved particles, tainting every milky dust in crimson red.

The scarlet liquid started to leak from the square lines, flooding toward the sacrificial ingredients. The entire area between the inner circle and the square edge was filled with crimson fluid.

The sacrificial ingredients present in it began to melt, turning into cascading liquid like an iceblock in boiling water.

Alex couldn't see a thing because his eyes were closed.

The blood red liquid that now contain all the sacrificial ingredients began to absorbed within the circle, properly tainting every white space in red then It entered the innermost triangle and started to circulating along the triangle's edge with swooshing sound generating a silvery fog that began to climb high.

This mercury fog began to hide Alex's covering his every body part in a silver viel.

But it wasn't the end.

The lustrous ashen spark began to seep into Alex's being, disappearing in his very fiber, enhancing and modifying his muscles. It sent a tingling sensation through his body, prompting him to open his eyes.

Instead of the normal gloomy atmosphere or dark surroundings, he was able to distinguish everything within it seeing a radiant room filled Multiple glowing orbs hovered in front of him, filling the otherwise empty space.

A new information or feeling started to permeate his mind, asking him what he wanted and prompting him to exhibit his wish. And he did.

He began to think about his wish. "I want something that can warn me about upcoming catastrophes," he said.

The previous glowing orbs reduced in number, depicting like a wind.

"Show me methods to power up and guide me to become stronger," he continued. More and more orbs reduced; some stood out and flew toward him.

He wanted to say more, but something blocked his voice, his will, or, to say, his ability.

Being an author, Alex knew the value of knowledge, where one already knows about upcoming events, but knowledge is not the only thing necessary; sometimes, brute strength is what is needed to solve some problems, but he can't wish for more.

One specific orb merged into his body, sipping deep.

An ancient voice whispered in his mind,

//7nth enlightenment Seer.//

It disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

Alex's vision changed; some hidden things that were previously concealed became clear to him.

He moved his hand up, observing their phantoms' nature. He understood he was in a spirit form. Some silver stream of light was traveling within him, giving a milky brilliance to his spirit body.

_So this is what it means to be an invocar._

The stream of light was connected with his physical body, which was sitting in the ritual ground, but the most shocking aspect was another phantom, the same as him, connected with this one, albeit darker and shrieking like the dead. A silver glow from his physical body was transferring into that dark spirit body.

"It's Raser," he said, uncertain about the method but able to identify the second spirit. Suddenly, he sensed commotion outside where Dev stood. Grabbing a dead female drenched entirely with crimson red, she disappeared with a swoosh.

It was the same spirit that had been banging on his door.

Three images flashed in his mind.

A large aquatic creature. Two white bullets and a small fish.

Before he could see more ; he felt a pulled and his spirit was merge back into the physical form.

He felt like information surging from within. Well, to be precise, it was transferring from Raser's spirit body to his.
